  • RippleEffect : 4 years and you're still going strong... on October 17, 2007
4 years ago at around this time, we met and rez, and you told me about allpoetry. Glad to see you're still going strong at it Hey, since you don't blog, this way I can still check whether you're still alive and possibly take a peek at what's going on in your mind
  • be a circle on February 22, 2007
Thanks for your comments friend. They echo some of my own sentiments about the rhyming and the stanzas and the words used... I think every poem there needs some good revision. Mmmhmm.

*On a side note, when I wrote 'it' I had decided that I didn't want to do anything formal, so I purposely didn't use capitals or try to write it well. I just write it how I felt. But generally, I do appreciate that capital 'I'.
  • be a circle on February 21, 2007
which... I am sure.... you guessed.. because it's the top line of my home page. *blankly stares* I'm going to bed.
  • be a circle on February 21, 2007
Because he writes all gooood and stuff. But unfortunately he didn't correctly guess why my name was 'be a circle', in regards to C.S. Lewis. Ye,s he had a circle of friends, but my name is an actual quote.

When ever do you find time to sleep? Don`tburn out befor you reach your true vocation. I have a "Spiritual theme" poem which might be acceptable to your special site. Its already on site titled "The Calling"

the Bible, deffiantly the best read of the century!! and i have to agree with you about 1984... i loved the book as well, i might watch the movie eventually but i'm afraid it'll butcher the book like most movies do... and well i don't know about number 2, i haven't read it yet... well just going through random poems, found yours, read your profile... left a message! God Bless and keep up the good work!

    *poke* where did you go?
  • Elphess on December 15, 2005
I haven't talked to you in like a hundred years. What's up with that?!

Hope your exams are going well. Mine are almost done. I have two more on monday, yes two on one day because MAC hates me, and then I think I am going to crawl into a hole and die.

I'm sure you've noticed that I haven't been posting much on here. It's partially because I have been working on my latest 'novel' and because of school. There are too many things to be doing at this time. Too many. I wish I had more than one body to use because that would help me out quite a lot you see....lol

Anyways, hope to hear from you soon.

    Elphess is the greatest!!!

    (yes, I just praised MYSELF)

Thank you for pointing out the typo in this poem on Oldpoetry, it all helps to maintain the standard we have set out to achieve, however we do trip every now and then. I have corrected it, thanks again.

    YOU

What the hell is going on? You changed your name, your poems are becoming depressing or borderline sad.....

I don't get it. I don't understand. I know that I'm not there and I know that I'm not as available as I used to be.

But I still try. I...I don't know what to say any more. I don't know what words I could possibly fathome that could open your eyes.

Please tell me you're alright. That this is just a phase. That you haven't become like me and I'll try my best to help you to be who you used to be.

The funny James. Full of wit, crazy ideas. Trying to kill himself with education.

    I want him back.

How can I not love you?

That comment just blew me away. I mean thank you. You really get me. And more than that you just prove how special you are and how good you are to me and for me.

I didn't realise I inspired you that much. I'm not that good, though. I could be better. I should never give up irregardless and you have reminded me of that.

You have totally rock my world. I will be back. I will write stronger and try harder. You are a greater part of my motivation than you think and than you could possibly ever know. No one gets me like you And you say you never say anything world shattering to help me out? I say you might want to reconsider that thought!

    Thank you so much. *sigh
  • Elphess on August 17, 2005
I refuse to allow your dream to die. Perhaps it has been altered, but I will never allow it to die.

I need you to write like you have been. You have talent. You have a finess (screw spelling) that I have wished to learn from.

There is a reason I chose YOU to ask to edit my master piece. Only YOU know me well enough to see my style and be able to help me, and things like that.

I will breathe life back into your dream and I will see it through with you to the end.

Have time to write this...will be short. Don't have time for full sentences. Am going crazy. Sorry have not responded to last post sooner. Repeat: am going crazy. Will write from hospital, if nervous breakdown hurries up and happens. God is in the details, but I have no time for them right now. Promise more later. Thank God "later" is ambiguous, because right now I don't even know where my head is. Oh, wait....there it is....NO! STOP right there! Stop I say, sir! STOP!!!!!!! *runs after mind and all it encompasses. It leads straight back to the piano bench.* NOOOOOOOO! I refuse to be subjected to any more of this sonorous torture! Saaaaaaaaaaave me!
  • Elphess on May 31, 2005
Hard Time's eh? I've always been in love with a Tale of Two Cities. It got me interested in the French Revolution and I'm even taking a history course next term devoted to the revolution.

Hope you find a better summer job. I recently took up kickboxing and I had to drop a shift. Now if I don't find a second job I'll be poor beyond all belief and then most likely get evicted for not paying rent lol

Hopefully it won't come to that.

I guess I'll catch you on the flip side.

    Cheers!

  • asinnerliketherest on April 7, 2005
You have no reason to apologize. In fact that comment helped me greatly. I did not realize I was suggesting that some peoples' work was unworthy of the contest. I fixed that bad message. I can be a critical jerk sometimes (at least that's what they train you to be in English and Creative Writing). It's very frustrating when people don't follow guidelines, and sometimes I don't do well with ignorance.

God bless you in everything you do. Philippians 1:3-6

Home is where the heart is. Wherever you feel loved. A lot of places have become empty holes of death. Port Dover included.

Things will work out. Like you said, you're a survivor. Our breed is thinning out you see. We may be near the end of our kind. Us gentle, intellectual and emotional people. Dealt a bad hand and still trying to be strong.

Have I inflated your ego enough yet?

You know I'm here. Don't forget about me.

    Cheers for now.

    Love and hugs.

Hello Monkey-turkey, I noticed in your comments at the end of your Fantastic Reality contest that you mentioned having a workshop sort of contest. I am currently holding a contest something like that called Science Fiction Fair/Workshop. Maybe you should check it out to see what I'm doing. It might give you some ideas, as well as enlighten you to some potential pitfalls.
