Hello, Annie, ah it is very very wonderful to hear from you again. And I commend you on your observations about the planet because I too have been distraught about the way us humans are treating this land and the level of detachment there is between mother earth and her children. I have recently read a poem by Wordsworth called, " The World is Too Much With Us. It is a wonderful poem and it touches on this problem quite wholsomely.

    hi annie,
it is wonderful to hear from you again! i was wondering if you posted anything and so i came to find your name on my site! names are treasures, i must say,and i am honored to know yours. but i am confuse..was it two ppl posting to me today or just one? you are meagan and your mums name is annie? or are you annie and your daughter's name meagan? hehe..quite baffling.. but nevertheless, i am honored to know they are somewhat the same person.

Hello annie, your comments make me feel eternally proud of my creativity, which is a gift of gold. Just the effect that I have on you changes the way I see myself and my poetry. The way you seem to open your mind to anything is what a poet needs. It's a rare thing to come across, and I am very glad I have. I hope everthing is well in poet land, and that your block will pass soon. Best wishes, minto.

I just want to stop by and thank you for your kind comments on some of my poetry I do appreciate it.
I've been reading some of yours and I'm so very impressed!!!! You're a very good writer and I love your brief but well expresssed poems.
I'll be reading more...I'm so glad you gave me the opportunity to become aquainted with you and your work. Reading each others work is THE best way to get around on this site, just responding leads us to so many poems and writers that we may not have run into otherwise

    Hi there annie!

I would like to welcome you to Allpoetry. This is a wonderful place to share your writing with others, and to enjoy the variety of works posted here by those who share in your love of poetic expression. Allpoetry is an interactive community, which means you should comment on 4 poems for every 1 you post. The more poems you read and leave a comment on, the more your name will be seen and the more people will want to read your work.
Help - The Help link will give you more information about the site. It is an excellent page to stop at, and will answer most of your basic questions. If you have any questions about the Help page, or the AP Policy, allpoetry.com/special/policies , you can ask any of us for help. The Moderators are highlighted in blue, while Site Greeters are in green. Click on the (IM) beside the name in the poet list, type your question into the small box that will appear just below the chatterbox, and send!... is just a mouse click away!
Membership - As a note of thanks from the site, all new members are given a free four-day trial preferred membership when they join. This allows you to post pictures with your poems and on your author page. Once the trial is over, you will no longer be able to enjoy these special benefits unless you purchase a membership for yourself. Although a membership is not required in order to post poems or comment, it does make the AP experience a bit more exciting. Further details are in the Store link at the top of the page.
Contests - Each month the Site Greeters host a contest for new poets, and allpoetry.com/Contest/655286 is the one for June. At the top of the screen you will notice a Contests link, where different AP poet-hosted challenges will help inspire your creative talents, and allpoetry.com/Column/307514 is an interesting column that describes contests and how they are judged.
Emoticons - You may have noticed the emoticons, or 'smilies' that people add to comments, and the chatterbox. A list can be found here-> allpoetry.com/Column/306041
Promoting - Two options to promote your work are the Shameless Promotion section, and the Feature section. Please do not promote in the Chatter Box, Instant Message, or the Bulletin Boards. A moderator or greeter will ask you to stop, and you could be 'fined points'.
I hope you enjoy yourself here at Allpoetry, or at one of the sister sites: Storywrite, Allphilosophy, and Oldpoetry (links at the bottom of this page). If you have any questions you can IM me and I will be happy to help in any way I can. Please stop by our page, allpoetry.com/poets/AP%20Greeters , for various helpful columns.
