almost alex on December 30, 2004nope... unfortunately it isnt good enough anymore.
It might be a better option than sitting around loathing my current surroundings... but should the rift between me and the American government become more than merely emotional, Canada is just not a trustworthy haven these days. Not that it isn't a great place. Actually, Im going there soon. I guess we'll see if I come back or not. -
zara on December 23, 2004so Canada isn't good enough? eh?
have a happy holiday, alessandro

almost alex on December 8, 2004Im not yet... unless youre serious about the offer of housing in england. Ill do yardwork, windows, cooking, whatever you need done.
As per why... general alienation stemming from a despotic regime. -

zara on July 4, 2004The next step, my friend, is to go out and start planting thoughtful comments on poems you actually like... woo some good writers over to you. If you don't know where to start, I can recommend any of the people I've listed on my author page. We may have different tastes, of course. Hmmm...try, in particular, cvillelisa...yeah, I think you'll like her.
-
Doofus on July 4, 2004your page is so darn interesting i keep having to come back for another look (plus you look pretty cute in your picture so that keeps me looking too). anyhoo, will be back to read more later.

Saaara on July 1, 2004I liked reading your page. It was more interesting than, "I write about what I'm feeling basically. It's usually depressing. I'm a cutter."
So, props on entertaining me for a few minutes. -

zara on May 18, 2004Stopping by to say hello. I see you already know about your poem being in the Stuff We Love column. Maybe I should have warned you. I'm in the group, and when Ody asked us to pass on links to poems that have "taken our breath away," well, there's been only one, really, that's done that, so I put in "i walked through god." Hope you don't mind.

Odyssey on May 18, 2004
Someone in my writer's group nominated one or your poems for inclusion in the column.
no need for confusion, it is a good piece. -
theroyaloui on February 3, 2004hey alex,
yeah.. england is great, all of us are really enjoying ourselves. I like a lot of your poetry, I've been reading it recently. How are things back in hartford? are you still living on campus? i hope you're all learning a lot and having a good time. I can't wait to get back and hang out with all you guys again. peace-

stephanie sunshine on January 25, 2004went to your deviantart page and notice you're a fan of 7samurai. i watched that flick for the first time a few nights ago and thoroughly enjoyed. hmmmmmm. welcome to AP, i suppose. hope you find your niche despite the politics.
-
zara on January 18, 2004I think I'll read you one poem at a time, savour, and return later for another taste. I find your wordcraft phenomenal.
So far, i walked through god and Two Candles were delicious. I keep reading raves on this site for poems that just don't move me, but in you I have found something special. I was thinking it was just me, not getting it, but now I'm thinking it's just that I "get" something different. I need poems to be flowing and rhythmic, as well as meaningful and visual. I'm a musician, and I guess I'm drawn to poems that can be sung. I look forward to singing my way through yours. (How's that for a melange of metaphor...?)
-
forgetmenot32 on January 4, 2004I really like your poetry and you have some amazing pictures! I really like "and he slowed his tears" Have you been in any good musicals or plays lately? The last I was in was "Anything Goes." We had quite alot of fun with that one. Keep up all the inspirational artwork of sorts!

almost alex on January 2, 2004Hey There, thats pretty good spottin if your referring to the Appalachian Trail... That picture was from Chimney Rock, in the Heart of the Blue Ridge... a Little under an hour from the nearest portion of the AT.
-
Bigmammajen on January 1, 2004sometimes people dont READ your words. they read them and dont absorb them. i try to absorb and understand.....I think there are far too many people on here who only comment to get points so they can promote their own work.
:S
I know how it feels to be dry inside. I cried until I dehydrated myself when my mom passed away. I literally COULDNT cry anymore. I could make the sounds, feel the anguish, but I couldnt produce tears......and then I started holding them all inside....and now Im drowning.
either way.....Im dying inside and theres nothing I can do.
