abigail- - - on June 4, 2006I found out that a kitsune is a actually the japanese word for fox. They are associated with japanese myths though. so they could be a mythical creature or just a plain fox...

darkspiritonline on June 4, 2006A kitsune well I can decribe it as a fox like creature and they're very revengeful....also are believed to be the messengers for gods or something..can't honestly remember the ful history....
But the can enchant people by transforming(ie: bewitching males by changing into a beautiful female) they get their tails after 1000 years, and you can see their actual reflextion in water, no matter what they may look like(say a girl, but the reflexion will show it for the fox like animal it really is)
The have long life spans....and well that's all the information I can tell you off the top of me dead head(been revising hard...so brain has been fried...) -
