Abbey Normal on August 15, 2006I dig your page, man. Your music brings a nastalgic vibe. Great sound. Trip inducing...
I like your overall style, as well. I hear musings of Morrison in your work. You are a very talented individual, and quite fasinating.
Keep on keepin' on! -
carrot on December 31, 2005Your 'motto' is a line from my favorite David Bowie song. Very rarely do I encounter people who know it (which surprises me, considering how popular David Bowie is).
Happy new year.

Warhol on July 30, 2005Yeah I have an old documentary from the early 80's on the Fear and Loathing criterian edition DVD that shows him planning and designing the cannon and talking about when he dies, and I always wondered when he went if they would go through with those plans. My English professor gave me the newspaper talking about his death when it happened, I was pretty bummed yet it was interesting and slightly expected to see that only Hunter S. Thompson could end Hunter S. Thompson.

Christopher Sicard on July 29, 2005You know HST kicked a whole lotta ass. When they shot him from the cannon, that moment lives in my heart forever. Oh did you know the cannon was shaped like the gonzo fist?

Warhol on February 8, 2005Goin great. Thanks, too bad you cant listen to them, this thursday I got a new one debuting on the radio. This new one though is a bigger deal because I sing on it and it will be the first time my voice is heard raw and un'reverbed/double tracked in a song. I've only heard a snippet and in one part you can hear my voice slightly shaking from how scared shitless I was singing it in the studio, lol. Its a neat song though I just pray it comes out decent. Very Rythme & Blues/60's sounding. It's a recorded version of my song Tonight Let's All Make Love in London.

dearjealousyx on January 17, 2005Lol, okay. Got bored of filling your poem page up with comments, and I'm banned from Iming.. *cough*
so yeah. Ahh. I saw the connection with Nuremberg/Nazi, just not Hitler in particular. I'm a bit frustrated though! I wanna know what it means..
-
Warhol on January 15, 2005hehe Yeah the reverb is something I get alot of criticism over in alot of my songs. I think the low quality of the file I put on that site also contributes to that. If I had the equipment it would be alot crisper and cleaner sounding. Glad you enjoy my voice, I'm always a little iffy on whether I sound any good or not. Thats so sweet though that you knew the Flaming Lips back then. I think it would be so cool to talk to Wayne Coyne. He's got a very original and interesting mind.
-
Jillosophy on January 14, 2005Well, I just listened to your song on acidplanet. Interesting. I'm not sure what effect you were going for it all seemed a bit muddy. I like the idea of a pub tune. Kinda like Irish drinking songs. You have quite the voice, which is always a plus. (specially if you're a singer) You had so much echo\reverb\wa-wa going on I kind a lost the song in all of it. But I definitely think you were on the right track.
You've got some good bands listed here too. The Doors(Jim Morrison) are the ultimate in poetry to music. The Velvet Underground are fantabulous. The Flaming Lips were much better when they were still a garage band. My girlfriends and I used to hang out in the "dungeon" when they practiced. I always thought they would do so much better than they have, so far. Ah well, misspent youth and all.
Keep writing, you've got a talent for sure.

Warhol on January 9, 2005Aww man well can I atleast borrow the hoverboard sometime? I really dig the Flaming Lips very talented group. I'd like to think of what I do as art as well. Just try to do what comes to me and hope people...dig it. haha
-
SalionShade on January 9, 2005No! Saxophones, piano's, and chello's rule! not clarinets. I have too many friends that play clarinet. YOu like the flaming lips?! I LOVE them!
Sorry though, you ca't have Mcfly's hoverboard, I already stole that along with Legolas and many other priceless items.
My whole family is artistic, I write novels and... well just about anything artsy-fartsy. -
ClarinetNut2006 on December 30, 2004Haha, Clarinets do rule. Just because you don't know what you're talking about, doesn't mean you can rag on us clarinet players. :-P I'm kidding!
~~Krystene aka Keys~~ -
Warhol on December 30, 2004Yeah I heard Ibiza has changed since the 60's. I'd have to go there from the 60's once I was in Rosemary's Baby land. Then live happily ever after.
-
Amor Vincit Omnia on December 30, 2004clarinets do rule. shush, you. so do tenor saxes...
