I made this background (and picture) in Photoshop CS, the newest version of Adobe's graphic software. But...you can make things like this in Pixia, which is the software I linked you to. It helps to learn on a free graphics program before splurging the 600 bucks that Photoshop costs.
-
Is this an example of some of the backgrounds that you made off of that program? It is awesome.
-
hey hey what can i do, the puncuations better, changed the ending, so as not to look like a crackhead, it was supposed to be a play on addiction, a failed attempt, thanks for the comment, it was the most helpful iv ever received. take a look at the revisions if you have time

Wow, that is some OLD poetry. How old were we when we did that "pass around" journal, anyway? 15? Wow. Craziness. You made me get all teary eyed...
you KNOW how silly that is, too...it was a love poem about that Standefer boy. classic.

"Hello"
Who are you, oh who are you
to make my heart beat fast?
Remind me that I see you here
break this lonliness at last
How could I miss all the things
I should have seen before?
How can I look up to you
When I'm down here on the floor?
floored; the only word I think
describes this train of thought
How can I sell you my soul
when my heart's already bought?
And all the questions that I needed
answers to are past...
Who are you, oh who are you
to make my heart beat fast?
4/22/98 Lady Immortal
Sound familiar? I found this in an old journal of mine while I was leafing through it. Thought it might bring back some memories... Or not.. Just a thought hehe.
Lots of love.

Since you are not on site as I pen this, and an IM is too short to answer you, I shall answer you here. I am sure you can delete this after reading so the minimum readers will read it.
First, Bigmammajen was the one who accused me of abusing my grand-daughter after the poem and pic were posted. The poem was taken from a site, and I had no reason to note where I got it, and if I would have known how to get find the addy as you suggested, I would have for kevin, but not jen. but since i did not know how to get it from my computer, i couldn't.
Second, as to why I post pics, I paid for that right and never intended to post either porn or porn poems. one person may like a erotic poem or pic and the next one hates it.
As to my leaving and withdrawing the poem, pic and all my poetry, obviously, you do not have a clue as to what an effect an accusation of child abuse has on anyone, and you sure don't have a clue how it had an affect on me.
Third, I owe bigmammajen nothing and want nothing from her, from you.
Fourth, Each of you are free to search my poems for inappropriate content and for pics that are pornographic even from a prejudiced perspective. You will find none because I will not give you a reason to delete anything of mine.
Fifth, you seem to be diverting attention from accusations of child abuse to my pics on my erotic poems. This offends me because I am not diverting your attention to what made me leave.
I knew that you and other's will not refrain from making comments
on my profile or poetry. It's something that you are allowed as a member of allpoetry, and surely in your capacity here!
You have the right to your opinion and you typed it in length.
I have a right to my opinion and I have a right to my opinion. I do not have to say what you want to hear, and will not.
I am not harassing on anyone's profile or poetry, regardless of how I feel.
Oh just for the record: I am not a owner of this site, a director, or moderator. I make no rules here and it is unfair for you to say you are breaking my rules.
I simply made a request to be left alone, but I see, that will not be possible. I guess, all you can do then is delete my profile and poetry that offends staff, while I must accept how I am treated here.
please feel free to delete this as soon as possible, Raymond.

that sure is a pretty girl in the picture. hah. pretty.
anyway, i'm thinking about taking a spur of the moment road trip to mexico (or louisiana) and i'm wondering if you want to go. i'll bring the fig newtons if you pick up some bottled water. we'll split gas money and sleep in the car. i'm thinking it'd be some fun stuff.
so, i'll be there in 15?
...
ha..
ok. see you then.

Your stuff is excellent. Keep up the good work.

Just read some of your poems, really good. Sorry I don't have time to comment on them individually but I'm a lazy person.

I'm baaaaack!
SOrry for my absence. I've had a lot going on lately, and this new layout was actually sort of discouraging. I'm still getting used to it.
On a happier note, I see there is plenty of fresh material here--allow me to rummage!!!!
Oh, and yes....we can call it Club Commando. Original, eh?
<3

I thought I'd come by and sign your guest book. Also to let you know, that I appreciate you helping me out with the different faces in the chat box. I still have a problem remembering some of them though. I might need your help again. LOL *S* Cynthia
-
oh! that is such a freaky photo! not at all what I expected to see when I clicked onto your page. have you been standing too near the fire?
-
I'm new at this so I don't know how to reply to things or add things to favorites so I'm going crazy trying to get a message to you LOL. AHHHHHHH!
-
I really dig this new photo!
Love the shadow scar down your face.
Love how it divides you into black and blue.
Lot of artistic symbolism here.
Just wanted you to know your photo work does not go
unnoticed or unappreciated.
Damn fine work!
(and you're a cutie too!)

Yes, that would be good, to put in author pics- but (there's always a but) space is limited to 52-60 pages. Not sure how much space there will be for that. I know for original art, interspaced, is very do-able, given the length of some of the poems. Twenty line poems are best for that kind of thing.
The answer is yes. I can give a listing of poems/authors and see how it goes. Willing to try it. Miniture author pics might work. Would have to fit on two pages though. (Or one full regular page, as these pages are folded in half.)

Thanks. It will make a great addition. Y'know what might also be cool? Including the above picture.
Vol II has original art (see Birchwood's poem "Timeto") which will be featured. kvwriter will be including some of hers.
I think this one of you is the best I've seen. Really. Anyhoot, it would make for a more interesting book.

For sure these two: Backlit and Kink

. . I'm just trying to write better also. I don't pretend to be anything other than someone who has an interest in this type of expression. Relatively speaking, I have no clout or importance.
The journal is what it is. A stepping stone. And it's not my journal.
It's our journal, to do as we see fit.

I clicked on "Print" my poetry, so I could read all of your poems at one sitting, which I only do for writers who have obvious talent such as yours.
There were 18 of which I thought were superb because they, for want of a better description, moved me. You gently stir angst with intelligent phrasing and story telling. You don't overdo it. . .there are subtle movements and thoughts that make for great reading.
You're a good story teller.
I liked The Uncertainty Principle, Kink*, Home Instead, Along the Corpus Callosum, A Barain with Dishevel, On The Down, Stimulus, Quietus, Backlit*, Short Reply, Sunshine Goth, Never Back From Venice, Solitary Refinement, Virgin Breath, Memory's Mad Discourse*, The Faded Left Corner of a Highway Trestle Mash Note, Suicide Squeez Play Love Affair* and Help Us Get Back to L.A.
The ones with asteriks made for the cream of the crop. They were truly exceptional. I wonder, if it wouldn't be too forward of me to ask, if I could use some of these for Vol. II of the journal?
As good as you are, I think you're going to get even better.
Thanks for the read.
-
Your pictures are still awesome to see. I like the material.

I've been reading alot of Billy Collins lately. He's worth checking out. Go to: http:www.loc.gov/locvideo/bcollins/
On it, he does a video-stream poetry reading at the Library of Congress. . .on being accepted as Poet Laureate of America.
His humor is macbre and infectious. Anyway, believe it or not, I see some parrallels between your poetry, and his.
You're an awesome writer, Torn Aura. . .that's all I'm trying to say.
-
Jaden on February 18, 2003
It means YOU WRITE BEAUTIFULLY, eh hem. . .
