  I was going through and reading some older poems I have, trying to see if theres any improvement and where I really need to work, and just noticed you commented a lot. And it was before I returned comments, so I just wanted to drop by and say thanks. By the way, I'm trying to think of something to enter in your contest, but haven't been able to yet.   By not being a "serious poet" I mean, I don't really know what I'm doing, I don't understand the technical terms or the different styles of poetry, I wouldn't sit at home and read a book of poetry and I don't read too deeply into what I write, I just enjoy throwing words together and hoping they come out sort of okayish hehe
  Having said that, since I joined this site, I have become more interested in learning more and understanding it better.
  Your work is an insperation to me. If I'm honest, I find a lot of the poetry on this site a bit heavy going, I like nice light hearted stuff that preferably rhymes
  Like I say, I have a lot to learn lol

  First I wanted to thank you for all of the comments on my stuff!
  
  About your comment on The Music Man, it was originally inspired by a friend at school who is an incredibly talented musician. A couple of friends invited me to a come sing with them one afternoon and I was scared to death to sing in front of people but he made me and promised that he'd play along and sing with me if I wanted. He was really encouraging and helped me see what an amazing gift music is.

  I just wanted to thank you for taking an interest in my work and taking the time to comment on my compositions!
  I, like you, write predominately in rhyme, which is my preference.--Some prefer free verse or prose, but it is just a matter of personal taste.
  You have an obvious talent in both rhyme as well as humor and perhaps you should consider entering one or both of my active contests because I think, they would be right up your alley!!
