Hey! I'm a site newbie (only joined today!) and would really appreciate if someone could adopt me! I'm quite guarded about my work physically, and have not shown it to anyone in the past, however virtually this will, of course, be different. Tiger Girl (on the adopters page) seems to share some of my aspirations and personality traits, and I was wondering, if she agrees, if I could be adopted by her, please?

Hi, my name is Mason, and I have been on the site off and on for a few years now, but have not REALLY developed the professional relationship I want to with some really good poets. I am very interested in growing as a poet, but have found it hard to really find guidance. I have noticed all of these people with AP "families" and have quite a bit about it, but am not sure how they work. I contacted you through the adopt a poet cantact page, and am very serious about finding several "guides" into developing my artistic talents, and helping grow as apoet, and as a person. I would like kmore information about your program, and whether or not I can even qualify as an adoptee, but I don't want just anybody to help me. I want someone that is very serious in helping me develop as an artist, and someone that is interested in me personally enough to become a trusted friend. One thing that I have found is that I want more than anything to express myself so deeply, and at times I am afraid to, and anyone who is going to be in the position of an adopted "family" member or guide is going to HAVE to be someone that I feel like I can really trust and grow close to. Someone that I can share more than just poetry with. PLEASE HELP ME!

After reading some of your guides had to take a peek to see who you are. I like a face to go with the name. I know somewhere there is a person in there. What I read so far is very enlighting and has help more than you can beleive. Still learning what is what. Still having some handlers break downs. Thank you for taking the time to write these guides.
I appreicate all the hard work you have done. There is so much to learn. Sometimes I feel like the poor cousin.
