    The Man in Uniform (The Nonrhymer)
    Someone so young
    And yet so strong
    Someone so fragile
    And yet moves on

    Deployment after deployment
    Never seeing his family
    But he does his job
    With very little complaint

    They charge his orders
    From time to time
    So he never knows
    What the day beholds

    Wishing he was home
    With the ones that love him the most
    Instead of in crappy living conditions
    In a tent and fox hole

    He serves his country proud
    But only few show they're support
    He doesn't understand it
    As some people boo his return home

    Standing tall to survive
    Serving a country that rarely respects him
    And yet he only wants one thing
    To make it home alive


    Even though everyone doesn't
    support you, just remember
    some of us do!

    This is something I wrote for a young guy that's in the National Guard. The Nonrhymer is a great guy even though we don't see eye to eye on everything, but that would just be boring.
