Best Wishes for The Happy New Year, TillyMay!

(From Phantomdreaming from Eddy's Family Page)
  • Just4u on December 3, 2008
    Happy Holidays....

    Hugs...Eddy
  • Just4u on March 9, 2008
Ben a very strange week. Temps near 40, snow never gone, then cold and wind chill of -20 below
the next. Can't wait for Spring to arrive full throttle. At work, they've rearranged the whole program, to it just like starting out again at square one. Some things never do change, do
    they...lol

Have a warm and lovely week...

    Hugs...Eddy

Are you kidding? I write about cheese all the time! I'm offended.
  • Phantomdreaming : Happy New Year! on December 30, 2007
Dear TillyMay! Have a Happy and Healthy New Year!
  • Just4u on October 9, 2007
    Soon the masks will imitate
    as goblins fill the streets
    Angels, pirates, lot's of things
will all spill out for treats

    Rapping doors, invoking chants
in hopes no tricks need come
    But bringing yet another smile
as to the next house they do run

    Happy Halloweenie..

I heard that Sally never would and that Tatiana couldn’t! And that plain Jane took up the strain… although she knew she shouldn’t. Pat and Di just wouldn’t fly… although some say they play… but from a rumour that I heard… It seems that Till May!¡
  • Mark Rickerby on April 8, 2007
That Chesterfield line cracked me up. He's right - I don't know anyone who has written a poem about cheese, or even mentioned cheese anywhere in a poem! Who says there are no mysteries left? haha

Happy Easter! I hope you and yours are happy and well.

    Mark

The hopes locked in a small locket in your heart

Your shoes were stold while your sleep by some prick, but fear not for a town is straight ahead and you can get a new pair just by smiling at the man behind the counter

The sun has only set...it grew tired of the long days too. But it will be back tomorrow. Just for a shorter amount of time
as it catches up on it's healing, so it's all refreshed to start a longer trek come next Spring...

    Hugs...Eddy

    I trust you are well.

How are you and when are you coming back to the coast for a visit?
  • mindworm on June 26, 2005
You are the first poet I've 'collected' on a list here. The Sand Kings and your free-wheeling attitude nailed it for me. If you've twisted someone's knickers sufficiently to stir them to pull a poem, then you go, girl. What is poetry for if not to shake the arrogant from complacency? I mean besides therapy.

No liquor for the licker¿? Oh dear!¡
It sounds like a week most austere!
But I hope that by calling,
    You alleviated the appalling…
May the Tilly become less drear!

The P.T.A. has missed you so much! (Pleonastic & tautology advocating [counselling and help aid discussion group])

I oft times in the autumn plough, a straight and fertile furrow,
And on a fine warm spring time day –digging doesn’t harrow!
Nor in the summer warm and bright, does scarifying fray…
But of all the loam lugging I love the best… it must be to till in May…

    Pump Up The Volume

Pump up that volume, by gosh, yes.
Pump it up and dance like
you are a professional dancer or something.
Let us all boogey like it is nineteen seventy nine,
    no punk rockers allowed please,
we are having a party that is kicking behind.

Pump up the volume, by gosh, yes.
Let one shake the bottom and smile.
Pump it up. Yes. Yes. Yes. Please?
Crank it up hard, baybe, it is spiffing.
Let the tremendous times roll and rock.

    And the police arrive.
    Knock. Knock. Knock.

The door is answered, and a polite -
Yes officer, may I be of help?

    Offcier Posh politely barges past.
Turn the volume down, this party is over now.

And the volume is turned down from
    number five to number four.
    Everyone stops dancing in protest.
One person even throws his coat on the floor
then reddens as all eyes look in complete shock.

Officer Posh makes a note of this person before
returning to the host. Please do not turn it up again.

The guests are left devastated by this turn of events.
Party7 drips on the expensive shagpile carpet.
The someone suggests a game of twister and all is well.

hope life is treating to sweet tilly.

    Wanders in,
    Splits the atom
    And looks around.

    I think I need
    A new pair of shorts
    Those beans were grand.

Tills, if only I had a basement! Partly thanks to your encouragement, I have been submitting some of my stuff to small publications. And one actually accepted my Medusa poem. It hasn't been published yet, I'll believe it when I see it... Unbelievable. It makes my head spin. Hopefully my head won't get too big, but if it does I'll be sure to insert a basement into it. You're so dang nice... I'm gonna cry now! \f, or however you make a rose

TillyMay, thanks so much for all your comments on my poetry. I was so amazed by how much feedback you gave me. I LOVED your pep talk, lol. I can say that in just the little over two weeks that I have been on this site a real growth has occured in me, and I am starting to feel more comfortable with my poetry- not there yet, but it is starting to sink in. Thanks again. I love the picture you have on this page of yourself. It is very touching, and much more than that, but I don't have the words for it right now. It would be a fantastic image to write a poem around. I am going to look forward to reading your poetry!!

Dearest Tilly – I missed you too – the inspiration and the glue, that sticks the stick to see it through, from pasta to the school of two… are you back or passing through? Can we say our howdy do’s? Or is it just a visit to the cyber bedlam sad… to more appreciate the world you have?
  • silica on March 21, 2003
I have a task to tax you to, more bugs than an entomologist,
It may even alienate you faster than, a symposium of xenobiologists,
But very little knowledgy comes without an ending –ology,
So from this day forth – DELETE AND ERASE TAUTOLOGY!

I thought it might make a good bumper sticker for the school funds…
  • silica on February 23, 2003
Well if it’s long yer want – it’s long you’ll get, it drags on into hours,
It even has the insomniac cured and esoteric powers,
Like scratching household surfaces – without the slightest cleaning,
And deep profundity in it’s metaphors… without the slightest meaning!
  • sock monkey on November 21, 2002
Thanks so much for reading those poems of mine! You are so nice to say what you did. Heck you are nice to read them. :) I really like your work. And you are so forgiving! Cuz I've put out some WEIRD things here. Keep on keeping on, gal. Is it true there are a lot of lonely bachelors in Australia by the way? (oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy)
