BonnieQ : Hi Stranger! :)) on December 30, 2008
Hi Steven, it has been a long time since I've been around A/P, mainly due to a fierce battle Satan has been waging against me, and just read that you've been absent quite a bit too, since going to MS.
Lately, I have been attempting to stop by more frequently and gradually reconnect with some of my brothers and sisters who also love to write of our awesome Father and His Christ.
I pray that the New Year blesses you so profoundly that you cannot even count them all!
Much love in Christ, BonnieQ

Just passing by to say Hello
Hope all is well

Hey Stranger! Where have you been hiding? Sure have missed you around here but very happy that you have finally found your way back home. I moved out to Texas in August of 2006 and had my daughter in Novemember of 2006. If you want to send me your email, I can send you pictures of her. Hope all has been well in your neck of the woods.
Hugs and Kisses

Ah! Mr Howard! It was a pleasant surprise to see a message from you and revisit your page. I can see that the world still keeps you pretty busy-do you enjoy your work with Microsoft? Softball season is upon us, too-are you still active with that? I can't remember how old your daughter that plays is or if she is still at it even.
I've decided to go back to school and try to get into the nursing program. I was sure I'd be the oldest living student there, but surprisingly enough-I'm in good company. I have such a desire to be a medical missionary-work on one of Pat Robertson's Operation Blessing Ships that go to 3rd world countries. I can dream, can't I? lol
Well, I'm off to read your latest poem-ttyl~vj

Hi Steve.. How are you? long tym no speak.. I think both of us have been away from allpoetry.. So how have you been?
-
Thank you for pointing that out, Vickie. I resized the photos and moved them over to a computer on my network, so they'll fit onto a screen now, and they'll download a lot faster as well .
My younger daughter plays softball ... the daughter standing with her mother and brother. She's still into it, and has a few colleges interested in her ... so we're hoping on that.
-
That was great seeing your beautiful family and boy are they!!! Your son is adorable! He must be-what about 6? I was surprised to read your oldest daughter is going to school in Korea-I can only imagine how hard that is to have her so far away.
Your pictures come out really LARGE, bigger than my screen. I wonder if you can put them through a program to resize them? But maybe it is only me that sees them that size-dunno?....
It was a treat to view this, thank you! (which one of your daughter's played softball?-I remember you used to have a picture of you and her and the team-like when they were playing in Colorado maybe-it's been a while, so my memory has taken a nap since then, lol)
Hope you enjoy your new stomping grounds-you certainly made a major move! vj

Hello dear friend!
I wish you a Very Happy New Year! May all your dreams and wishes come true .. have a blessed 2006

Hello Lonely. Thank you so much for stopping by. Yes, I haven't been on much these last two weeks. Last week I was at the National softball tournament with my daughter. This week I have a group of teenagers at a church retreat in Dallas, TX. It's late at night, and everyone is quiet so I had a few minutes to get on here, so I'm glad you caught me now and commented.
Next week I should be back to a more normal routine.
-
Hello there Steve,
How are you? havent seen you around for sometime. Or maybe I have been away. Hope everything is fine at your place.
Keep in touch

What a beautiful group of young women! I hope their season has been everything they dreamed. One thing that is highly visible is their smiles. Karen
-
Thank you Vickie. Yes, it's fun, and I'm proud and all umpires are blind .
Wow! Broadcast on ESPN. That must've been quite a thrill for them!
-
Your picture is great!!! Congratulations to your daughter's team for having such a wonderful season. My daughter-in-law's sister plays softball and they actually got to be broadcast on the ESPN channel last year. They are from Andrews, Texas.
I know you must be very proud and how fun to be able to travel with the team and be a part of all their festivities! vj

Hi, Steven! Just thought I'd return your visit and read one of your poems. Of course, you know I love God, so I certainly won't be offended by any of them.
By the way, I noticed the suggestion of a title for something you are writing, perhaps a novel: "The Spell of the Phantom." Redundancy is a publisher's pet peeve, so I would suggest Spell of the Phantom. Also, it is a great title, one that would encourage a reader to check out the blurb on a book's back cover. If that's as throat-grabbing, then the reader will buy the book.
You might be interested in an article I have posted here at A/P: Writers' Seven Deadly Sins. If you scan through My List you will find a category titled Helpful Hints for Writers Aspiring to be Authors. The article is in that category.
Well, now I'm off to read one of your poems.

Cristiena, I finally chose the name "The Spell of the Phantom," which was suggested by someone in an IM. I thought that name pretty well captured the spellbound expressions I saw, and included the reason for them.
Thank you for your suggestion and your comments.
-
Thank you for stopping by Crisstiena. It may be wonky (I'll have to look that word up ). I'll let you know on the title. Thank you very much for reading and suggesting.
-
Is it me, or is your page wonky?
Really enjoyed your poem. Let me know which title
you eventually choose (not necessarily one of mine).

Hello dear Steven!
Thank you for visiting my authors page and leaving the comment... I've missed you too... My routine has changed so it is getting pretty difficult for me to come online and log on to allpoetry Yes I have changed my profession to Teacher, I am teaching english conversation and various sports activities to the children of junior grades, and I must say I've loved this new experience Hope you are fine and hope to hear from your soon!
Love,

Thank u very much for ur sudgestions, I appreciate the critism, most ppl don't take the time to say what they honestly think just their over all thought. Wren~

Thank you very much for your comments. It is always appreciated to get feedback on your work. People don't read or comment on stories as much as poems on this site. This is probably because the stories are usually so much longer. I'm guilty of it myself sometimes, but I love stories so whenever I have the time that is what I read. God bless and thank you for your kind comments. When I have more time myself I shall read more of your work.

Alas, I understand the envy towards poets, I often have that same feeling when it comes to story writing. I love writing stories, and have written a few, I just can't seem to get the motivation to actually sit down and finish the ones I wish to though. I have several ideas, so hopefully some day.

HAPPY EASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After reading your featured poem, I just had to check your page. Now, I am led to believe that your poem is in fact real. I am so sorry. I will help to pray for your daughter. Just try to remember that at that age they say all kinds of things they don't mean. May God Bless and Heal your family! Hugs, Penny

well, when I was pregnant with my second son, I was still swing dancing up til the final week before he was born, and my dance partner in class was having a hard time stopping me, when he would spin me during a song or dance move (centrifical force is much greater when you are large in the belly hehe) and even though my feet would stop where they were supposed to, my belly would want to still keep going a bit around, and he would always be yelling "WHOAAAAAAAAAH big mamma!!!" and thus how I got the name.
When i finally started getting online and got a computer, I made the usual first steps most people do out of curiosity....I went to chat rooms. Thus I realized how many freaking perverts there were that would constantly IM me nasty sexual things or tell me how hot I was if I used just Jen or something, but when I started using BIGMAMMAJEN, .... very rarely would any men even acknowledge me.
They thought I was some large truck drivin, sumo wrestlin lady or something. But the best part was when there would be some brave soul that would actually go check out my picture and IM me and go.......WHOA!! You are hot. I wasnt expecting that.
haha. oh well.
I think its still funny when a new person thats never visited my page comes along and is shocked by my size.
thanks for visiting me
-
Oh my... I've got a lot to read don't i.... hmm... where to begin. Sorry I haven't visited lately. Haven't had a chance to But I shall try harder so I don't lose track

Thank you so much for reading, and for commenting WindSong (That is a beautiful monniker). I am really glad you read it and even happier that you enjoyed it. Thank you for your kind words.

I just finished reading the entire story Angels of the Morning Calm, such a beautiful story. You do know this right? I'm not sure what to say. It has so much going for it. This isn't by chance how you met your wife is it? It is a very heartwarming story and has such realalistic characters.

Hi..Steven...I just wanted to drop by..and say thanks for your reading my work.
