stella - I believe I have finished reading your promised 7 poems, I hope you are not too disappointed in my lack of skills to find anything to critique. I blame that entirely on the poet not the critiqu-er

really, it was fun. I applauded 4 of your pieces as promised, but it was not hard at all finding 4 worthy pieces to applaud and they certainly weren't wasted applauds either. Your work is fabulous.

  • Axelle Black on November 12, 2005
Lol really? Well Mr. Van was kind enough to let me hand in my assignment on Monday without a penalty or without deducting marks. So nah, he's a very nice Australian man But anyway, good night. I just woke up
  • Stella Shall on November 12, 2005
Australians always give bad marks lol!
Anyway goodluck with all your work hang in there it is so worth it when you finish school finally. Have to go back to bed now see ya!
  • Axelle Black on November 11, 2005
Hmm had never received your reply until I checked on your page Well yeah school's ok. I guess. No not really haha. I mean I have to do 13 assignments within 10 days. That's when our portfolios are due. Anyway. And I don't think I'm going to make it. And if I do, it'll be a miracle. And then I have to write up an oral for French, learn in for November 20 something. And I have to start my Chemistry project thesis statement thingy. And I finished my Physics Lab with my Chemistry Lab yesterday, and well I saved the Chem one on a diskette. And the other one I thought I had saved too. But I didn't! So I'm going to get a zero. Or something like 10% off per day, which is 30%. GAH! Anyway, yes, the Australian teacher will give me a bad mark Mr. Van is nice though. Anyway. Yer. Ear infections are nasty. And waking up to take care of your children is nasty. So, sorry about that, but it must be over or nearly by now, right? Being a mother still should have its good sides And anyway, yeah posted that poem and I have no new others on the way. Thank you for the applause btw. And have a good day too. OH... right and congratulations on winning gold in Tina's contest. That's a purdy prize coming from someone as talented as she is.

    Physics next
  • Ava Noire on November 10, 2005
ms stella, since you are the winner of my 7 contest, I need for you to send me the links to 7 poems you want critiqued. If you don't mind which poems , just let me know so I can get started.

    congrats.

My family are English I must admit I have always preferred English accents to American. Its funny you talk about accents my girls all use these American accents when they play games my four Year old is always the American mother my oldest daughter used to do it with her friends too when she was only two it is because a lot of the shows they watch are American. So how are you doing at school anyway I am looking for an online course to study at the moment or external have to keep my brain alive. I am glad its you getting up at 4 Zakiyah my youngest daughter had an ear infection so kept me awake for nights god I don't miss that part of waking up all night to babies. No I certainly don't. Anyway I should go to bed by the way it is night so I shal insert the word night alongside good. By the way got any new poems in the pipeline. Well have a great day I can't say I envy you having to go to school but I am sure you don't envy me having to do housework and stuff either. lots of love Clarissa.

4:42 a.m. ... early? I have to wake up every day at that hour, except on weekends or when I have no school. But for example, I woke up at 4 this morning. Too much homework, it's coming out of my ears! Plus I focus better in the morning. At night I'm exhausted and I'm addicted to the computer, well the people on there, so I can hardly work properly on it. Hehe anyway, nah I've always LOVED Australian and British accents. And Irish. All over there, the English English. It's so pretty and classical. But I guess we all like different accents. But like... hmmm I don't know about the rest of Canada, but here in Québec, since it's a French province, the accent is a little French I guess. For some people, it shows less than others. For some, more. Some don't make it apparent. But I'm guessing that in the west of Canada the accent is more southern-ish, and supposedly that in Newfoundland, in the east, they say "aboot" for "about" which is why Canadians are teased about that. It's so weird. Anyway. Then I don't know about the Inuits. There aren't many of them anymore that I know of. But anyway. Aww little ones, and woohoo less mess I really should empathize with my mom... but I don't. Hehe. Good *insert time of day here*
  • Stella Shall on November 9, 2005
Oh hi darling didn't see this message before what a disgraceful hour to be awake god too too early. Well when you live here the accent can become grating especially the country aussie ocker one, very unattractive! I would love to see Canada.
I think I should get off this computer and stop avoiding my parental duties my mum has my two little one tonight yay less mess.
Anyway have a good morning or evening too whenever you read this.
  • Axelle Black on November 8, 2005
I love Australian people My Physics teacher is an Australian and I love his accent. I also try to imitate it. He says I can't, that I'm more that of a British accent. Oh well. But Australian people are nice. And they like mocking people a lot. He likes mocking people a lot. It's funny. And he's a good teacher, well depends. And yes. I like Australian people So hello from here pitiable Canada at 4:42 a.m.. Have a nice... day or morning or evening. I'm not sure anymore
  • MrsPepper on November 4, 2005

  • Stella Shall on August 28, 2005
Just wanted to know if you got my email or not.
  • MrsPepper on August 28, 2005
Hey, I wanted to tell you that I tend to be over-affectionate.
So as a writer with someone else I admire i am either very nervous and friendly...or very affectionate.
I flirt with men, children and animals.
But in real life I am very sedate or tend to confuse people.
So i am overly affectionate in general...even in writing
I don't know why I wanted to tell you that
I guess because I admire all that you've written.
Your abstract is very well done.
  • Stella Shall on August 23, 2005
    will email you later today

    Hi Stella,

Just thought I'd let you know - I got an update from another member about the girl injured in the tsunami disaster. Her relatives were found a few weeks ago. She's living in Germany with them now.

    Thanks,

    Mark
  • Imokon on June 29, 2005
That's quite the irony of ironies. I think having a friendly mother is much preferable han a strict...mother. Best of luck.
  • Stella Shall on June 29, 2005
I don't conform to the standard mother scale at my daughters new school. I laughed the day I wrote this she told me that I embaress her because she goes to a new school previously attending an alternative school where a lot of the parents were friends of mine and a bunch of very creative, wild, interesting people. It is quite odd because we have always done everything together and our relationship was more like best friends than mother and daughter because I was a single mother and she was my only child i just dragged her along every where I went festivals, parties, markets anything music related. She has always been older than her years and we have similar taste in many things so I was a little hurt and a little amused by this comment. My parents were so straight and I wished they weren't. She wishes she had really straight parents but doesn't that is what this comment was about life's ironies.
  • Imokon on June 29, 2005
How the fuck are you embarressing if you don't mind me asking? You know how to use the internet don't ya?

The kitchen is the only place I have an excuse to bump into my mother and give her a hug without being too cheesy...(I'm not a very touchable person, I'd rather stab the next teddy..)

Kitchens are awesome havens for women.
