    I'm around D.C., so there's plenty of places close by-- any suggetions would be great though, 2 weeks into summer and already I'm bored off my ass.

    ah i was scared shitless to get up in front of people till i found slam poetry from an english teacher at school. its the only thing i can do in front of people without being nervous because i dont have to worry about what people think about me. But hey everyone is different. Where you from? I can give you some good places to listen to some GREAT slammers

    thanks, but like I said, most of the stuff I do is made to be read off a page. not to mention all kinds of public speaking problems. I really admire people who can slam, but personally I have more fun in the audience than at the mike. go figure.

    you are very talented!!! I really like your work! I would be honored if you would consider posting some of your poems on a site my friend has created. He created the site, I recruit poets & post their work--with their permission of course... The work stays entirely yours, you keep ALL rights, *of course* the site is a small, personal site created to help poets get noticed if they so want. The poems are posted by invite only, in other words just anyone can't go to the site & post work. Ya gotta have a recommendation from yours truly...I hope you consider joining us!
