    I simply want to point out, and I mean no disrespect in any way by doing so, that the easiest way to avoid people lumping you into a stereotype is to not give them something to typecast you AS. By declaring yourself an "Emo" you give people room to believe about you what they believe about "Emo" people as a whole. Since you label yourself other people believe that it's okay for them to label you as well, and I'm quite sure that you're far too amazing a person, and far too good of a human being, to allow yourself to be labeled and or typecast.
    People will think what they want to, that's the way of the world. But if you give them little to go off of, they tend to let your actions define their opinions.
