Can you please read & comment my poem "YOU'RE JUST A BOY" I know it sounds clichè but can please just give me your honest opinion
  • Shancy Fayre on December 11, 2008
As the mother of four, the youngest is eighteen, the oldest thirty-three, I am seasoned in life. Caring for your child is a selfless goal. Good luck. Shancy.
  • Snowing Kisses on December 9, 2008
And salt betrays my eyes again, thats a really creative line, one of many in a really really good poem, you have real talent you know, and by the way if anyone steryotypes you let them , i reckon with some one as strong as you as a role model your daughter has a really good start.
Have a wonderful christmas with your little one, and hold your head up, your doing just fine
  • future dead poet on December 8, 2008
glad i could help you out some with the title to that amazing poem
  • GentleStorm on December 5, 2008
"stereotypes are devices for saving a biased person the trouble of learning." I like this quote.

how old is this baby girl, might I ask? I love kids
  • Ditt0 on December 3, 2008
Holy crap. I read that opening poem. I think it's brilliant.
I don't know how you got into your current situation, and I'm trying to avoid stereotyping/assuming (which is in our human nature), and just say you seem like a killer poet with a kid.
Good luck with that (hope I don't sound too patronising)
  • BAMFNx3 on December 2, 2008
Thanks for the guestbook entry! And yeah, it's an inside joke stemmed from Dane Cooks BAMF.

OH AND I LOVE THA TYOU HAVE BRANDI CARLISLE LYRICS IN YOUR PROFILE! =]

This poet makes me await a new poem. I wait in suspence.
Fingers tap and roll across desk top waiting. Tap, Tap. Tap...
  • dillpickle62 : Great Name! on April 10, 2007
It sounds and looks very professional. That is diffently the name of a pro-poet. Bonnie was excellent reading for the kids. And very helpful, we had many interested and writing up a storm. I hope they show up tomorrow. But it will be a good practise for you High Schoolers to see how an open mic/coffee house performance goes. Somebody has to take over after Phil and I get too old. Hahaha...Oh! Bring your Dung Beetle poem if you can. That is great with humor.
  • dillpickle62 : Just Popped In on March 27, 2007
"Hi-ya!" Just popped in to see if you put that new poem on. It will be interesting to see what you pursue as a career. Your writing is so full of great talent. Your right up there with The Forsaken One and *Deformed Skittle*. And your younger then them! It's definitely in your blood. I've read alot of poems in the last 6 years but you 3 are far beyond any others your age I've read.
  • The Forsaken One on October 17, 2006
Heya. It's Jeremy. Just letting you know. You're one of the coolest people, like, ever. WOOT! Okay, I'm done. Later.
  • dillpickle62 on August 5, 2006
Hey we missed you at the reading. It went very well 10 people all total. A good mix of talent. Jeremy said you hit him up for a name. He laughed stating "What is all that about!?" I told him I sic'd you on him. He laughed. We had a great time, Jeremy is all smiles when we drop him off at home. He's a great kid. And a heck of a writer.
We've been invited to do another Reading next month so we'll let you know when we figure out the date. And hopfully get you better directions.
  • dillpickle62 on July 29, 2006
Right now sitting in front of the fan. Ha haha, Been to town doing errands. Going to take Tunkie swimming shortly. Just popped in to see any messages.
  • dillpickle62 on July 29, 2006
Hey I just tried to reply on the end of one of your comments but it wouldn't let me. So I'm doing it this way. Thanks for the nice comments. I like this site, it's fun. I found a fantasy writer I enjoy also. He or she is really, really good! Am busy the rest of the day but will try to post some work tonight.
  • dillpickle62 on July 28, 2006
Hey I like those. But the ones I like the most in order:
Ceridwen,Marilis, and Kanene.-Then Miliani because of your lobster fishing poem. Noticing the simple joys in life. Much like Henry David T.
Adora because once you go public and the younger see and hear you they want to be able to do as you. You will build an image for them to look up to. Yes Brigett another good one. Yes Now I think more on it. The first 3 and Adora. Or maybe perform as Poetress Adora and use the other 3 for pen names. As you grow and write more others will come, other meanings. And people will talk and share ideas. Perhaps once in a group of artists throwing ideas and sharing new works with it'll happen. As before maybe you and Jeremy can bring kids together at the High School a poetry group. Work your talents do features go to old folks homes etc. Or go with us a mixture of young and old. A full community of poets. Jeremy, Phil and I have a busy day today. We go to work on the Blue Coll'r website/society project as well. I have a few minutes so I'll go read some poems of yous.
  • dillpickle62 on July 27, 2006
ok so now a question for you. These contests, they're just for fun? What'sthe deal with points? Like one this morning said something about getting 350 or 60 credits. What's that all about?
  • dillpickle62 on July 27, 2006
ok, ok, ok How about "The Bratty Beat Poet"? Something to hold you over until more is heard? And it goes along with your sense of humor. I'll also tell Jeremy of your wishes for a pen name. We are poet knapping him on a poetic mission tomorrow. Going to Bar Harbor and working on something for the 4th.
That is Scotty's Bookstore, Hankcock rd. August 4th 6 p.m. thats a Friday. Call Jeremy give him your mailing address and we'll put it on our mailing list for letting people know what's comming up. As there will also be more readings planned at the Grind in Ellsworth. And future other events. Once The Society of poor poets and struggling artists of Hancock, Me. gets alittle further along we can send you the invitation and info. Of which you may already be a part of, as membership is only a penny and a performed poem. Will let you know more later. But do give your address to Jeremy and we'll get you started. We have big plans. Readings at old folks homes, Hospitals etc...

Hi- Yes a name. I'm working on it. A pen name is what it is. It took me from 1976 to 2003 before I got mine. Phil got his because he was writing in a listed quick style. And we did a one poem hit n' run at Boarders Bookstore. Thus the name "The Hit n'Run Poet. Jeremy ended up with the Suave' Poet because of the way he handles himself in public, along with his poetry written with females on his mind. Example: A guy commented on a hat he was wearing. "Cool hat man" Jeremy just looked at him and nodded with a half smile. Unknowing to Jeremy it was the perfect laid back reply a secure poet would do. No need for words just a quiet "Yeah I know thanks". Which he later told me he really didn't know what to say. Which is good because the way he acknowledged was perfect. And whallah! You have "The Suave' Poet"
Now AKA: Cecily {sp?}Bishop/The Poetress. She ended up with at least 4 different penned names. One I accidently gave her some her friends gave her and one she made up.
I am working on yours but I'll need some time. As well others may give us some clues. I must research more of your writing and probably need to hear more of your reading. And listen to others comments. In the mean time do what Jeremy did for Phil and I. We needed a pen name for a poem we wrote together and submitted to a publisher. He took our names and mixed them up making one name. Now take the letters in your full name and mix them up see what you get.
Pen names are to fit the personality of the poet. The poets work and style. Or the readers the poet/writer wishes to attract.
Also a way to come up with something. Look back over your comments from other poets on this site. See where your strengths are. All this to hold you over until the poets around you come up with something. And I will keep reading and listening. - Blue Coll'r
