    a7x is awesome--i used to work with two
    cooks that absolutely loved their first
    two albums because they were hardcore
    full of screaming and badass riffs

    they didn't like the third one at first
    because they claimed it didn't have
    the "balls" that sounding the seventh
    trumpet and waking the fallen did

    i argued that the third album was
    superior because it had far more
    variety on it; everything from
    flamingo strings to old-school
    metal riffs not unlike iron maiden
    to the more melodic guns 'n' roses
    stuff, and then, of course, they had
    their pantera tribute on there; not
    just in lyrics, but also in sound

    they didn't copy or mimic anything
    though; they drew inspiration from it
    and went with it

    eventually, the third album was about
    all those two cooks would listen to for
    a little while, which is saying something
    because they both had *huge* collections
    of metal and hardcore punk

    hey. dont be raggin on Atreyu. they are incredible on cds and orgasmic in concert. they use more advanced chord progressions then any other band today. their concept of music theory is genius. alex and brandon are freaking rock gods.

    holy fuck I know what you mean about Taking Back Sunday. I'm not a fan at all but I went with a friend at warped tour, and TBS fans are the absolute most violent people in the world. This is Essie by the way. I heard that you were coming back to Nashoba this year. Is that even true? If you are I hope you join the GSA again, and also Amnesty International.
