lol sorry to hear that but what you can do is add it as a new poem and delete the other one. Just a thought. Only if you want to though. ^_^

  • birdlove on April 22, 2006
Awesome! You've heard of Shahrazad, too? Cool. If you haven't already, you should read the book "Shadow Spinner" (the title is close to that). It is a really good version of her story. You should check it out.
  • Frozen Roses on April 3, 2006
Hello, its been a while. Thought I would leave you a hello. I love your background.
I read the other comments here. I've never seen the full series of Escaflowne, but I do have the movie. I have the three disk set. In it they said that the story-line was going to be really differnt because they wanted more males watching the movie. Go fig.
Have you ever seen "The Twelve Kingdoms"? Have I asked you tahat before? Oh well. TTYL!

Your name caught my attention because the story of Shahrazad I know very well. In fact, I wanted that for my username and you took it! no hard feelings, though (LOL) you tell the story very well

read my short story to make up for not calling me on my b-day, since my other cabbage patch kids called me
  • Shahrazad on September 4, 2005
Actually- I watched the Escaflowne movie just yesterday.... Jess let me borrow it. (Which is funny being that she has the movie but never saw the series)

I thought the art and some of the action scenes were cooler than the series... especially that beginning scene with Van killing the people on the leviship- that was so cool! But I didn't really care for the story line that much- but that may have been due to the fact that I assumed that this movie would be like Endless Waltz- an extra story built on to where the series left off. But as I said before, some of the scenes and art were so cool, so I wasn't REALLY disappointed like my sister was lol! I g2g- TTYL!

  • Shahrazad on August 30, 2005
Oh- poor Sebastian, I actually kinda feel bad for you for once-but not too bad because you know me, I LOVE the warmth, cold is my enemy. But I do hate it when computers disobey! Stupid computers... Anyways, Thanks for the anime- I finished Gundam Wing and Escaflowne- I loved them both soooo much! and I got Jaymie into them too, she was sad like me when we finished Farscape and its cool to get into more creative shows- thank you thank you thank you! And I only broke one DVD! lol- jk of course! TTYL- Hope you have better luck with your computer/internet! ~ME

hello...um...At school I'm forced to have a certain internet service and not download anything so I wont be online at all...I think...just tell everyone I said hi
  • Insanesaxpoet on July 13, 2005
DUNE! you sound a lot like me, i am also trying to divine where on earth i fit in. problem is, when i find a place, it's usually with a late-twenties male conversationalist. Which could mean that i just need to tell myself i'm ten years older than advertised, or that i need to meet some interesting people of my own age. We should talk sometime. You say you're a dancer, that's cool, i teach ballroom. And i liked the Musee d'Orsay better than the louvre.
  • WindUpEnigma on July 3, 2005
You have a very impressive list of absolutely AWESOME books and movies here! Oh, and Mists of Avalon is by Marion Zimmer Bradley. Haven't read that one for a long time, but I remember it being very good...
Thanks for your comment on my entry in your contest. Hope I win! lol
  • Distant Light on June 1, 2005
YOUR SO MEAN!!!! BOO HOO!!!! CRY!!!
  • Shahrazad on May 30, 2005
First off, they are called sebATIANs and not SebASTIANs (even though I screwed that up in the post before lol!) And some are good and some are bad- and if Sebastian was a Sebatian, I think he would be bad P
  • Distant Light on May 29, 2005
so are the me's bad guys or good guys...or a mix?
  • Shahrazad on May 26, 2005
Sebastians are NOT Sebastians.... They are a race similar to humans except they hate heat and even in a little heat their brains melt.... pleasent huh? Anyways, the "bad guys" are military people called Peace Keepers and they are sebatians... though not all sebatians are peace keepers, all peace keepers are sebatians... so ya........if you caught any of that at all!
  • Through Your Iris on May 25, 2005
Because they obviously are crappy characters in Farscape, lol.
  • Distant Light on May 25, 2005
fpr ypur fav. and least fav. characters my name or something similiar is up there...what does that mean?
  • Through Your Iris on April 19, 2005
Laura, just goin to tell ya straight out, please don't think that when you start talking about movies or books or anythin, that I think it is stupid or dumb because I don't. I find all this stuff interesting and love hearing it! Please don't think that you need to not be yourself around me. You are an awesome person!
  • Shahrazad on April 19, 2005
Ladyhawke is an old movie with VERY dated music, however... The script and story line is amazing! It's one of my all time favorites that I grew up with! It's a love/fantasy/and action movie... I would describe more but it's slightly difficult to explain just by typing out... You'd like it if you can get past the music... Anyways, I'll shut up now... see what happens when you get me started on movies?

WE HAVE TO WATCH LADY HAWK!!!
  • Shahrazad on April 11, 2005
Thankyou! Don't worry, I won't loose it ... I know what you are saying though, it is sad that many of my friends don't like to read the classics because they are intimidated by many pages and tiny print... I will be devistated the day that they turn books into computers and put libraries solely on the internet! Anyways, thanks for visiting my authors page!
  • Piston on April 11, 2005
Pretty deep reading material for someone so young, also in this day and age of fast information! It's really refreshing to see young people like you still into The Classics like the Homeric Epic. Don't ever lose that
  • Through Your Iris on April 10, 2005
LAURA! YOU CAN CHANGE UR BACKGROUND NOW! Like I did! I changed my name too... again, lol
  • Frozen Roses on April 5, 2005

awesome new name and the story is quite romantic...I wish I was king and had my daily wives heads chopped off and then have a woman who comes and tells me 1001 stories...but I would fall for her by the 500th story, but not tell her since she is good at stories
  • Frozen Roses on April 4, 2005
Cool new name! It is so beautiful! Oh and yes please tell me when you have more of your story up! I really enjoyed it. I like the names you had before, very unique.
Oh about my language, it is not all done I have only been working on it for three years. But I can say a few things and I have written a poem/song that is for my next book, but in the book it will be in english.
Anyway thought I would stop by and tell ya how much I liked your name!

  • Shahrazad on February 18, 2005
I Love Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy too! I can't wait for he movie to come out (though it won;t be nearly as good or a funny as the books methinks) Douglas Adams is hilarious!

The Dune Series is also amazing! I read the first to and am on the 3rd one as well, though I'm in no hurry to read it being that my friend told me basically all that happens in it already, but I imagine that one day in the future when I forgot everything he said, I will go back and read it. I own the ones after the first 3, but I don;t know if I should read them being that they were written by Frank Herbert's children and not Frank Herbert himself.

It's nice to know that someone enjoys some of thesame things I do! Thanks for the nice comment!
  • Distant Light on February 17, 2005
    amazing background
  • Frozen Roses on February 16, 2005
Hey thought I would stop by your author's page. Cool tastes! A smile spead across my face when I read the quote up there. I am a huge fan of his, read all of the Hitchhiker's books.
How far have you gotten in the Dune books, so far I'm on the third. Well got to go as fast as I came.
