I see you are from Canada. My mother owned a home in the eastern part, on the Rideau Canal system. I have visited Calgary and Banff. Loved it there. What a beautiful part of the country you live in! Do you know of Carol Desjarlais? She grew up near you and is a wonderful poet on this site, besides being a very close friend. I love your user name!

Hello again Serene. I am from Roundup, Montana. My latest story is about my 6th grade teacher, Mrs. Braithwaite at Roundup Central School. I would be greatly delighted if you could find the time to read it sometime. It is under poetry.com not storywrite, although most of my stories are under storywrite. I hope you are having a marvelous Summer.

Sorry to take so long in answering your kind comment on "The Beautiful Lonely Ones", but I don't get around like I used to.
I went through Winnipeg once a long time ago going home to Montana.

Wow, I'm glad to have found you again! I knew you changed your name, but I couldn't remember what it was, and I went over the limit on my favorites so you were pushed off. I'll have to catch up on your writing!

Thank you precious one, for your loyal admiration of my mushy poems. I am afraid I would not be honest if I told you that I would not have taken a girl's innocence if I had had the chance, but thank God, I do not believe He ever put me in that situation. Happy Easter to Serene!
  • Mind Crimes on March 16, 2005

Serene, kind soul, I wrote "A Grizzly Tale", just to show, more or less, than I have heard about and seen some horrible things in this life, and I don't like them. I am no wussy wimp, but I want to write tender, beautiful, poetry that those who read, will have no disillusions about. I value your appreciation of my more socially redeeming pieces immensely, and I promise you, "A Grizzly Tale", was not intended for a gentle heart like yours. Please forgive me for not explaining sooner.

your poetry is very nice...I will have to add you to my favorites
  • Wesley Storer on October 13, 2004
Thank you for your kind comment on "Boredom Ruins". Yes, it seems that words change through the years, and the phonic sounds that expresst them. Perhaps someday some lucky combination of just the right understanding and just the right sound will transform its reader into a permanent state of utopia! That's what I wish for you. thank you.
  • Delphinidae on October 8, 2004

Congrats on your newest trophy. So well deserved. See what did I tell you not a day ago? You must know you have a stunning talent for portraying beauty and eloquence in your writes, always filled with awesome imagery. Those who do not appreciate it, are those who simply do not understand. Keep that chin up.

Being a Thunder child will definitely be to your advantage as a teacher! All those little squalls that think they are the real storm. I taught middle and high school science, biology and chemistry. Figured I better quit before my fantasies of blowing the little buggers up in the lab, became a reality.
I hope your poets soul can withstand the unwashed barbarian hordes at the gates of acadaeme.
  • Darmok on April 15, 2004
TC, thank you for the inspiring comments you left on my recent poem; you found it rather quick I won't take your words lightly, as I have experienced similar visits to the mind's eye. a journey beyond the veil and a resting place where the heart beats with druming throbs...we rise and fall on the same waves ...feeling the pulse of the heart of the poem. I'd like to come back and read here too, later -Darmok

Hello, ThunderChild. Just want to stop in to see how you are doing, and to catch up on some reading. Your work is as stunning as ever.
  • Wesley Storer on April 7, 2004
Thank you Thunder child for your comment on "Every Man Pays". It is hard for me to get to the library, and I only get one hour a day, so don't be tweaked if I sometimes seem to take my time in answering you. I read your comments with the greatest pleasure. Thank you, also for your comment on "The Land of Never Been". Yes, many of the vampires on Ventura Blvd. are in fact, shape shifters, and can assume any form of blood sucking monsterdom they wish.

Thunder is the sound that is generated by a bolt of lightning.

There used to be an awesome show on the ABC called ManChild.

Have you drawn inspiration from both of these phenomenons?
  • Delphinidae on March 14, 2004
