Lol, lecturers drag me over to them in quiet corners at college to ask 'how things are going' and if i'm 'alright' and do i 'want to talk about anything, dear, you look so sad.' Bless them. So i know where you're coming from there! I like your poems, they are very emotive and realistic, i'm sure many people can find comfort in relating! x

Hello stranger. Thanks for reading my new story and leaving a comment. That was pretty random. But nice.

Thank you so much for reading my work and leaving such wonderfully thought out comments, i appreciate it. May i recommend some other brilliant poets (well i guess that’s my opinion isn’t it?) for you to read. When you go to my author page, they are listed as “AP poets that inspire”, There are many different styles, viewpoints and levels of creative genius that are presented in these few poets. They are, for the most part, excellent comment writers as well. When you give a considered view on one of their works, they will offer in kind. Part of writing poetry, i think, is being able to read other poems and say why you like of don’t like them...there is no right or wrong in art, art just is.... some will argue “grammar grammar grammer”, while others harp on form, and still others will say “damn the form, full speed ahead” But i hope you enjoy reading theri works (and others here) as much as i have. Blessings and best wishes, ~richard

    Hi-ya shadowlily !

My name is John and I am one of the Greeters here at AllPoetry . I just wanted to stop by and welcome you to this wonderful site. This is a great place to come and nurture your writing skills. There are many ways to do this: reading other poet’s work, entering into contests, joining classes and / or reading works from AllPoetry’s sister site www.oldpoetry.com .

As a new member, you will notice that you have a 4-day trial Preferred Membership. Once those four days are up, don’t worry, you will still be able to post your work, and comment on other’s work as well, you just won’t have the perks that a membership provides to you. If you are interested in maintaining your membership, you can purchase one from our Store.

Free members of AllPoetry get two “free posts” per day, then must comment 4 times for each item posted. Those items include: poems, stories, contest poems, and contests, but not lists.

If you ever need with anything, there is a Help tab at the top of the page. Or you can contact any one of the Moderators highlighted in BLUE or Greeters highlighted in GREEN. We are all here to help you with any questions you might have. Simply click on the (IM) next to the name and send us a message.
