Tonight the Christmas lights
are muted;
its warm glow coats my skin
in saccharine hues.
The carolers have long since
moved to another street,
taking with them the merry noise,
and leaving me with
silence,
blessed silence.

And then your message comes,
innocuous in its cheer;
innocent and bright-hearted
words on my computer screen.

I smile because you smile,
I laugh because you laugh,
my heart is light
because your words buoy me up.

Tonight, I shall allow a tear
to slide down my warm cheek
because of joy.

Hiya Eris! Thank you! and Yep, we finally took the plunge and made it official. Life is going wonderful here, just soooo hectic. Mama is still in the hospitol, it's 10 months already. the doc says perhaps she can go home by the middle of next month. she really has gone down in this time, it's so sad to see her like this . Last year before she fell, she was 83 years old, but if you didn't know you would have thought 65. Now she is her real years and more. Please keep her in your prayers.
I hope all is wonderful for you and ken, what have you been up too?? hehehe I guess I should have put this in IM
