Shivers on July 18, 2005Hi, im Shivers, I entered your competition. I wrote this poem, a while ago, one night in my room, I just let everything out. I know its pretty long, but its all about me, and how im trying to explain myself, my quietness, my anger, and my need to just leave to those I love. My parents are very controlling, and at the same time Im tackling the confusion and pain in falling in love, with a girl. This poem is me, an apology, a message to the best friend who I love (a little to much) and my mum and dad who I need to let go.
I felt it fitted the competetion and so far no one has understood really what I meant by it. I saw your competition and thought you may. I dont think its just one option though hunny.
I will comment on some of your work as soon as I can.

Sol on June 26, 2005Rose, hate to be the bearer of bad news but I submitted my poem in your contest, a prewrite under option 6 and THEN read the rules, and I feel like I've just commited two cardinal sins in your book.
So don't take it if you feel like Ive cheated the contest or anybody, but my option 6 was about hatred and prejudice that I've experienced all my life, so I hope that falls in with this! Whichever! -

piccola on April 28, 2005we used to raise mallards .. we had them out of proportion ..we started with 4 and 4 .. we didn't know you were supposed to have 5 females to ever male..LOL so I spent all day chasing the males off the famales.. that's all they do ..

The one for you was one of the hardest I've ever written, cuz not only is it one of the only ones I wrote on the computer and not pen and paper, but because when I sat down to write it, I had no idea how to start. . . I had wanted to write it for a while, but didn't know where to begin!!!!! I'm glad you liked it -- I figured you maybe saw me on the first day, I was after all the only one in a big puffy black tutu and biker gloves (and staring directly at you from across the TA) -- LOL, I'm sucha freak! I oughta wear that dumb tutu again, I mean I did go all the way to Trash and Vaudville for it, so if I don't wear it again, my mom might get mad -- LOL!!!!! Rock on babe!!!!!! I'll see ya monday!!!!!

It like, I can't stand looking at you in school knowing what happened between us and that was so emotional in itself. I'm glad you're happy w/ Helena, but at the same time, it hurts...It's like the poem I have on VF, it's about you and I basically view your happiness from behind glass because I don't want to remember, but I will, because I never EVER forget. I still like you, but yea, you know what goes on in my sadistic mind enought to know that I'm not EVER going to date another girl.
