    Hey hey. I've been 'helloed'!

Things are good here. It is a lot cooler this week than last, thank god. And my summer school is over next Weds. :-)

Hempstead is the same as always. When suzi and I walked the pooches today we say a couple of kids running away from the cops. There were four cop cars and an ambulance and the cops had already nabbed a few of them, it looked. Ah, home sweet home. :-)

  • truembrace on April 18, 2007
    - dropping a note your way just to say "Hi" and that I hope all is well in your world. On my list of favorite writers - it's noticed greatly that you've been missing (or at least you haven't written lately for us to read). Your words are missed as well as your presence.

    Hope to "read" you soon...

does travis still roll around around here by chance?
  • zara : RollingStone the rock on November 25, 2006
had to give this message a title; the system demands it.

Then the question at the top of the box: "why is this author great?" This author is great for his natural voice, his storytelling ability that surpasses just about anything I've known, and his subtle use of sound as poetic devise.

    (How's that?)

Anyhow, don't know if you'll even find this, but here it is. Glad to see you posting and commenting some, lately. Place isn't the same without you.

  • Seaquince : you made my day on November 19, 2006
    When I'm not writing, I'm a lesbian trapped in a man's body...

Track Title: The Cover of "Rolling Stone"
Album Title: Have A Nice Decade: disc 3

Prime Artist: Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show
    Written by: Shel Silverstein

    Lyrics:
(talking...) Ha ha ha I don't believe it
Da, da, ah, ah don't touch it
Hey, Ray, Hey Sugar tell them who we are.....

    Well, we're big rock singers
    We got golden fingers
And we're loved everywhere we go..... (that sounds like us)
We sing about beauty and we sing about truth
At ten-thousand dollars a show..... (right)
We take all kinds of pills that give us all kind of thrills
But the thrill we've never known
Is the thrill that'll gitcha when you get your picture
On the cover of the rollin stone

(Rollin stone.....) Wanna see my picture on the cover
(Stone.....)Wanna buy five copies for my mother..... (yes)
    (Stone.....)Wanna see my smilin face
On the cover of the rollin stone.... (that's a very very good idea)

I got a freaky ole lady name a cocaine Katy
    Who embroideries on my jeans
I got my poor ole grey haired daddy
    Drivin my limosine
Now it's all decided to blow our minds
But our minds won't really be blown
Like the blow that'll gitcha when you get your picture
On the cover of the rollin stone

(Rollin stone.....) Wanna see our pictures on the cover
(Stone.....) Wanna buy five copies for our mothers..... (yeah)
(Stone.....) Wanna see my smilin face
On the cover of the rollin stone
    (talking) Hey, I know how
    Rock and roll.....

    Ah, that's beautiful

We got a lot of little teenage blue eyed groupies
    Who do anything we say
We got a genu wine Indian Guru
Who's teaching us a better way
We got all the friends that money can buy
So we never have to be alone
And we keep getting richer but we can't get our picture
On the cover of the rollin stone

(Rollin stone.....)Wanna see my picture on the cover
(Stone.....) Wanna buy five copies for my mother..... (wa wa)
(Stone.....) Wanna see my smilin face
On the cover of the rollin stone
On the cover of the rollin.......
Stone.....) Wanna see my picture on the cover
(talking) I don't know why we ain't on the cover, Baby....
(Stone.....) Wanna buy five copies for my mother
    (talking) We're beautiful subjects....
(Stone.....) Wanna see my smilin face
(talking) I ain't kiddin, we would make a beautiful cover....
On the cover of the rollin stone......
(talking) fresh shot, right up front, Man.....
I can see it now, we'll be up in the front....
    Smilin, Man......
    Ahh, beautiful.....

You'd still need the date to find the archived file, of course.

  • Danna Hobart on September 17, 2006
Hey there, hope you are well. I was in the hospital all week, for vertigo, believe it or not! Felt like I was going over Niagara Falls in a barrel. The world is still spinning, but they have me on some heavy drugs to slow it down. Makes it hard to concentrate.
  • ArtFullyMe on September 16, 2006

  • Danna Hobart on July 28, 2006
Hey, Sexy, I'm heading out of town for a week. Off to Nebraska for a family reunion, and then down to Phoenix to see my sister and her new baby. See you when I get back.

Again, Travis, so sorry for the loss of your mother. Grief just is..until it isn't. When my Aunt passed away, I found myself still going to the phone to call her even a year or more later. It's been 23 years..and I still miss her.
  • zara on July 4, 2006
