Keith Drew on October 30For a woman so beutiful I understand, for every man wishes to love a beautiful woman. And always your heart will be broken because of you outward beauty.
The man you dream of, the prince upon the white charger, is the one who sees the tears within your heart.
I wrote a poem once that saw the true beauty.
But when I read it to her, she could not see what I saw in her.
I called it a Secret Love, for I was right in keeping it a secret.
Because when I spoke the words of my heart to her.
She threw them back in my face.
A Silent Love.
I sit in silence and watch her work.
Every movement that she makes an artistes dream.
But could he paint that which I see within this woman?
Others wish her to them within their drunken dreams,
But it is only her beauty they see.
Glad am I that they cannot see the beauty that is within.
For her heart lies behind a pool of tears.
And I am drowning within it. -
