LdyBrknWing on November 3Hey Rambler! Just dropped by to give you the link to a group you might be interested in joining. It's called "Poets from North Carolina." Here's the link. http://allpoetry.com/group/info/Poets%20from%20North%20Carolina?stay=1 I know you're a busy guy, so if you don't have time to mess with it, that's cool. Just wanted to give you the opportunity, and a personal "invite." Hope you and yours are well. Later!

Rambler on October 22, 2006I did the same. And some people put me through hell for it. But if it hadn't been for books I'm afraid to think of what I would have occupied my mind with in those days.

aslanlight on October 30, 2005I was just reading through the comments left on an old poem 'The Bulldozer' because someone commented. I found yours about Thomas Merton and am even more surprised to find out that you like Jimi Hendrix too! So do I and have a pencil drawing I did of him years ago with one of my poems.
Strange to find someone who likes them both being as Merton and Hendrix are...well diverse!
Do you read C.S.Lewis? His Space Triligy, 'Out of the Silent Planet' 'Perelandra' and 'That Hideous Strength' is one of the best things I've ever read and it's left such an impression that it comes to mind regularly, please read it if you havn't already? Great to meet another like minded person!

Mystical-Gardenia on October 11, 2005Truly a fascinating experience wandering in your realm ... The picture is breathtaking
..Perhaps another to add to your list of quotes... "“When power leads man toward arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses."
John F. Kennedy"
A man famous for many things... little remember he wished to be a great writer

nobodysees on October 4, 2004Hi, just to say thank you for your comment on my poem, I really appreciate you taking the time to leave such postive words; love the background by the way, very calming!

InsaneAlice on October 3, 2004Hi. Thank you for the comment you left on my poem, 'Darkest Hour'. It was a big compliment, and is very much appreciated. I would have returned the favour sooner, but I've been a wee bit busy. I love the Mark Twain quote. It's very true. I will, hopefully, read your poetry later this evening - I have to dash now.
Thanks again.

pozo on October 1, 2004Thanks for commenting on my column, it would be a good idea for you to enter
I entered a column but I'm not sure if she'll like it because it was for a poem- I couldn't put all my beliefs into poetic form though

kryspin on August 29, 2004style is fairly important...and everyone has one. Your brief rant about it made me think about it. We have our own ways of writing which can be categorized or compared - however sometimes we end up creating a style all our own. It is fairly important to have one, that way the reader understands what we are writing and the messages conveyed.
but it was refreshing to see someone who had actually thought about it -
theGazzelle on July 29, 2004A Harlan Elison fan!! I've been trying for years to get a copy of "Elison Wonderland." I still think about how that planet vomitted up the explorers! I forget the rest of the stories. There's a similar book called, "The Far Out Worlds of A. E. van Vogt" that I'm sure you'd like.

symitar on February 3, 2004Thank you for stopping by my page, you truly honor me with your sweet words. You, my friend, are the jewel, a beautiful and rare one. Thank you for all you are and all you do.
