Linda King CT-USA on February 24, 2006one poem has no comment - there aren't enough poems for me to comment on, and since the contest runs til March 1 - I have 2 more addiction poems I will enter, as soon as the contests they are in are done.
I have trouble reflecting on the choice of the options... most of my poems show all aspects, the hate of using, the obsession to use, the withdrawl, the life without, the love & desire that keeps me going back.
I have been an addict over 10 years, and I am going back to jail on a felony conviction of possession of trace amounts of crack/cocaine... I got a year - not even a hit did they find - and the verdict was guilty.
i am writing a book, about incarceration and addiction... and am hoping to get some of the other inmates to share their experiences with me... so if you would like to edit your contest, to ask your readers & contestants if they would like to have their poetry or stories about addiction and/or incarceration - I need a small bio/then the write... I shall look it over, and if it fits the book - I will give them the credit for writing that piece.
thanks for listening. -

Eidetic on July 23, 2005W00t kickass... How did a poem that was pointless find a point? Technically, though, it wasn't floccinahilipilificated (I didn't spell that right) because it had a point - to exist/be in the contest. Now isn't that weird?
-

Arcaenne on April 28, 2004Hello... randomly clicking on people and you grabbed my attention. I'm a Wiccan too, raised in with a strongly Anglican father so I can empathise with the hellishness. And I totally agree with the ranting-ness - it grates on you after a while. So I'm going to read some of your poetry as you seem to have a refreshing attitude... stay true to yourself and blessed be,
Arcaenne -
GothicBeauty on April 21, 2004hey, i just thought that I would read the poetry of a fellow wiccan, and an intelligent, like-minded individual.. and don't limit yourself or your ability.. ever.. streach your mind to all new possiblities.. but if you are like me beware of the ones. namely men who say they love you... it's a bad omen in all relationships.. Blessed be little sister

My friend told me I'm the "least conceded person in the world"... so I'm out to prove him wrong! haha.. anyway, thanx for the comment. This is Daniel on January 17, 2004BeneathTheCover,
Thank you for the comment on my work. I greatly appreciate it. Believe it or not, I am not a Christian either, but that piece of music moves me so much I had to try to pass it on. If you're intrested in hearing it, the link is at the bottom of the poem. I suggest hearing it. I am impressed by your work as well, keep up the great work. w/b.
