  Ok, an update about the group. Me and james have created a username for the group as a point depository and as a venue by which to hold contests and other events. Now here is the question we had. Seeing that this would be the first contest the group would be doing, we were wondering if it might be more advisable to hold the contest via the account we have created for it. If we did such you could still be included as being one of the collaborators on the contest and could donate points and be a judge, we just were thinking that it might be a better choice to do our first contest via "the elitists HQ" which is the username of our group account than to do it in a different way. You can think about it, it was just a cocern that we had. Talk more later.

  On how to post a contest as a collaboration, I don't actually think there is a direct way to do so, so all you will have to do is in at the top of the contest just say "This contest is a collaborative effort between myself, jaunty pill, and Slaughter for members of "the elitists" group only." The decision of where points can be sent is being worked out at this present moment. I will be back with more information soon.

  Thats an excellent idea! I'm not sure how to add two poem in collaboration for a contest, but I will try my best! I think the best of best idea is a good one! I will be judging my current contests on the weekend, so maybe the new contest could start Monday? Members would be free to donate points for the 2nd and 3rd places (and perhaps honourable mentions if there are a lot of entries too close to call). I think that it would be best if all donations were to go to you or Jaunty to avoid any confusion. This is all very exciting Talk to you soon Slaughter

  I love the background, very emotional. Now here is what I was thinking. Both me and jaunty are not really into joining contests anymore as I have won a gold, a silver and a brass and I would like my page to remain that way and he is already in enough contests to worry about, but here is our proposal: Would you be interested in doing the group contest as a collaboration with me and jaunty, seeing that we did start the group and would love to be part of the judging of such a contest. We both think that for a contest for "the elitists" it would be best to make it just themed as "enter you best piece" because you wouldn't a whole lot of different topics being thrown around, it would best to just keep it simple seeing this would be the first one for our group. Obviously it would be a group only contest so we would have to make it clear right on the contest itself that is only for members of "the elitists" and that is all. Prewrites should definitely be allowed and the contest should be stopped at 30 entries, that way we wouldn't get to clogged. So there is the idea we have both been throwing around. We would love to be involved and hope to see this idea follow through.

  After reading what you posted in that group ! I feel like a very lucky person because I live in a little towerblock with my wife and I guess we take it for granted that we have a roof over our head, your ramble really made me think long and hard ... are you sure that this degree is worth all that hassle ?
  because you can enjoy life and find a job without the hard work of getting a degree ?.
  I left school unable to read or write at 17 and I turned out alright , maybe you should look at another way of getting to see the world and save your money at the same time.

  Hehe! Wow! Today has been a good day! That picture was taken down my local pool hall when i was 18. Sadly, i have grown some wrinkles since then, at the grand old age of 21! Thank you for your support and as always i promise to return the favour take care

  Heya lonely, sorry for taking so long to reply! Now i dont get much time to stand around in allpoetry anymore, i have seemed to have neglected catching up with people! Work is as draining as ever, but i have managed to get my student loan through so at least now i have money. I hope your studying is doing well and i saw that you were having a contest, and i hope that is going well for you take care xxxx

  It's ok! Watch out towards the end of the week, because i will be dedicating a contest to you! It's such a shame that your not going to be posting any new works... so the best thing i can do is offer to promote your works through my contest so more people will read them Be well and keep safe... and thank you for the support because i really do appreciate it so much. At the moment, i am torn down with uni work and depression, but im really hoping that i will find the time to critique my friends poems and contest entries very soon!

  I'm glad you're supporting honest critiques, but sometimes, people are too nice! I'll see poems like
  
  u hurt me
  the knife cuts
  bleed bleed
  despare comes
  i hate u
  
  And people write "So heartfelt, so powerful..."
  
  No. It is not. I write really flaming critiques for those kinds of people, because I can't find anything nice in their poetry. It's just a collection of feigned pseudo-angst, ridden with cliches.

  i havent read more than 4 or 5 of your poems, but i like your views. its been quite an experience, and will continue reading your stuff- just had to add u on my favs list!!
