magdelene : i meant to say more on January 17...about your poem. all i can say is i'm realizing how much i love peoples' minds. a lot of the blacks i know want to be lighter; "he's too dark-skinned, girl, how can you find him cute?" a lot of the muslims i knew thought somalis were dirty; a lot of white americans i know think somalis smell bad. a hear people in meetings refer to god as God, or God as god; Him or It, It or Her; when in our literature it's written "Him" some just say "God." (i.e, '..with knowledge of His will for us...' becomes '...with knowledge of God's will for us...')...I find people's backgrounds and their predjeduces because of their backgrounds absolutely beautiful...except when it results in war or hate...but i have my own preconceptions about groups of people or types of people that i'm learning about...most are surprising, some are scary. but it's all fascinating. that's what i meant. i find judgement and fear beautiful in its own right.
(i don't think either of us are the same people we were a year and a half ago when we stopped talking, sarah. fuck, that was a long time ago.) -
vaguelyfamiliar on December 11, 2007Your user picture reminds me of the girl from Requiem For a Dream, when they are on top of the building, flying paper airplanes.
I don't know why.
I read your poetry all the time, even though I don't comment. -
bonniegurl42 on June 4, 2007nope!

sleepysmile3 on April 6, 2007so my older brother keeps writing post-it notes and putting them in the dirty dishes i leave everywhere around the apartment and last night i was at a bar and the love of my life called me, in uniform, and he had a sad quiet voice so i went home and today i had people denying their petit larceny as if it's possible to never steal anything your entire life. i used to steal little candies from the supermarket. and one time i stole someone's heart and then later he took it back once he found out, and he left me with nothing then because it's so easy to forget you've got your own.
so anyways. i've slept today from 4pm to midnight and NY is snowing but next weekend i am flying to New Mexico and having sex in a hotel.
and I like your poetry, too.

...Cryptic comments are not useful at 9:30 in the morning. Good love poetry is never overrated, bad love poetry, however..? Should I be offended or should I be agreeing...?
I'm just going to smile instead. Smile and nod... -

zilbermann on June 9, 2006I read your story Blue and like it very much. You write very well. I like roller skating but haven't tried it for years. Should I put my skates on again? Might be fun. Might fall and hurt myself.
Yes, goodness and love are part of human nature and can change the world for the better. On the other hand, badness and hate are also part of human nature and can change the world for the worse. I am old and pessimistic. A politician does not claw his way to the top through goodness and love. Those qualities are not conspicuous in people who have a lot of power. -
magdelene on June 6, 2006lady girl, you deleted the poem that i wanted to read.
you are siiiiiiiiiiiilly! -

i like what you have written on your authors page. i think alot of it is very profound.
ys don quixote may have been mad but arent we all.
as lonliness does breed madness is it wrong to want to be loved. and so we wrap this madness up in pretty papter and they throw us parades.
thts the point. because in actuality, only the mad are the truly sane ones. because we are the only ones with the integrity to stay true to our hearts and visions.
muahahahahahaha.

magdelene on February 2, 2006You know that song you sing, where youre like, "...as false and as fickle as he-eeeee" haha, well, i was half awake and that song was playing in my head, only without the words and just the tune and it took me a loonng time -- till i woke up two hours later -- to figure out what song was playing in my head.
i now have sheryl crow in my head, and i hate sheryl crow with a burning passion.
myspace profiles are down right now, that's why I'm leaving you a comment on allpoetry.
so anyway, I love you and I'm sorry about my incoherent trains of thought. train of thoughts? (which one sounds better?) i'm gonna go brush my teeth and numb my mouth with tasty numbing devices my mommy bought me for my canker (spelling?) sores.
see ya, wouldnt wanna BE ya,
ALAHNA!!!!!!!!!!!! <33333333333 -

vaguelyfamiliar on October 5, 2005You remind me... of me at fifteen *smile* hah I don't know if that is a compliment, or merely a fact. But. Keep up the stupendous work and maybe one day you'll be nothing like me at all. And that'd be super, because I think I almost wish I'd choosen another path. C'est la vie. I do like mine.
I also like: Your Poetry. Yeah. It's rad. Stay rad
