Back in 1952 or 1953 I won the "Dorothy and William Wordsworth" prize given by The Poetry Society (the UK one!). So I wish you every success with this competition.

Wordsworth? I'm a bit intimidated by him at the moment, by the contest anyway.

I wondered lonely as a cloud,
fearful of Wordsworth's mighty shroud.

Thanks for taking the trouble to let us know your thoughts Madhumita.
Actually we have 96 categories to choose amongst although they are not all shown on the opening page.
If you select any of the obvious categories and click the link you will see on the right hand side of the new page another link to search ALL categories click on that and you should have no problems. If there are still some categories (like odes) then let me know.
We will be trying to cross link poems into these categories but with nearly 60,000 poems it will take some time

Well, I'd like more categories should be there. Such as few types of poem classified together...like Odes in one, and so on...

Thank you for the syndication on Bukowski... he was a beautiful poet and will be greatly missed...though i havent read all of his works, nor have i liked all of the ones i have read, he has a great talent for connecting to his reader, me. thank you again.
