unlikely savior on July 15, 2005the sunshine rises over the peaks of the snowcapped mountains,
the morning dew sparkles on the fresh blooming spring flowers,
the haze of dawn burns away like the remnants of a bad dream.
through all this there is one focus on which my eyes never leave.
that is the all encompassing beauty that is you. -
mars on June 24, 2003Thank you for taking the time to read and comment on my work. Guilt was written in a Malaysian form of writing called a pantoum. There is no set limit to the number of stanzas in a pantoum and it's not even required that you have a syllable count per line or rhyme. That was merely something I decided to do. The way the style works is that the first and the third line from your initial stanza will become the last and second line of your final stanza. The second and fourth lines from each stanza will become the first and third lines of the next stanza. It looks like this:
Line One
Line Two
Line Three
Line Four
Line Two Repeated
Line Five
Line Four Repeated
Line Six
Line Five Repeated
Line Seven
LIne Six Repeated
Line Eight
Line Seven Repeated
Line Three Repeated
Line Eight Repeated
Line One Repeated
I hope that helps you out and I look forward to reading your first attempt. And remember you're not limited to just four but four in most cases is the minimum.
Happy writing!

What part of Canada are you in? I'm originally from Michigan. My ancestry comes from Quebec. I've been through Ontario and to Quebec in 2001. And just this year...last week we've been to British Columbia ....Vancouver. Anyway.....just stopped to say hello. Read my bio on my home page here at this site. ~Bud~
