I taught pre-k 3 and 4's for 11 years. Hugs Ann P My supervisor said the only thing I didn't have was a potty song, wrote it later. If you are good enough to play and record, we could cut a deal and you could be the new Raffi.

Yes, but I do. The word "Netjer" simply means "god", and is therefore the most appropriate word in this case.

I apologize that I may have just had a little tiff with a poet on your poem regarding immagrants. I did not mean that to happen, I just felt frustrated by his/her reply to me as I felt it very one-sided.

I read your comment on the MLK Jr piece and I wanted to say hello and that I agreed with what you were saying. I'm African American and go to an all white school and they're constantly throwing around the N word and I'm always figuring out a peaceful way to resolve it, and I'm having a tough time with it...But I'm very proud of your accomplishments!!!!
    have a great day!!

Hey...just so you know, there ARE some very good translations of Virgil lately, that render his works into readable English while preserving the poetic quality in a very satisfying manner.

Google it...you really don't HAVE to learn Latin (unless you really want to.)

I do not really understand how to operate this system.. I really wanted to reply to your comment on my 'Independence Square...' Yes, indeed, Ukraine did declare independence in the declaration known as the 'Fourth Universal', dated 22 January, 1918 (but in fact promulgated, so I understand, on 25 January)... and did have a short period of independence... However, it did end up partitioned between the emerging Soviet Union and the Polish Republic... Stalin grabbed the western part back on 17 September, 1939... although partisans in the mountains carried on a guerilla war until the early 1950s...

Our live poetry presentation group 'MANIFOLD VOICES' has a programme about this 'Ukraine - from Mazeppa to the Maidan... 300 years of the Ukrainian fight for freedom and democracy told in poetry, music and visuals'... which we have given on a number of occasions in the last year - including two presentations at the Edinburgh 'Fringe' festival...

At our last presentation someone made an audio CD of it... a copy of which has now been archived by the translation studies department of the L'viv 'Ivan Franko' National University of Ukraine..

I realize this is almost certainly the wrong place to reply to your comment on my song... but I do not know where else to do it...

    Vera

Well, nice home page! This beautiful. I have been to Egypt actually, have you? I love Egyptian things. Some of your author's comments are sort of wacky and fun...I enjoyed reading about this public duel. Life is fascinating. I am glad you worked out your differences. More importantly I appreciate a great artistic presentation!
