Hi again my dear sweet, wonderful friend. I was just wondering if you had been contacted by Mr Sandman another poet on this site? He is a South African, in the process of publishing a brand new poetry magazine in East London and asked me to submit a poem for this new publication. If you haven't heard from him, then check him out on this site and see if he will accept a poem from you too!!! I thought that this might be interesting to you, as there is no cost involved in submitting poetry for publication in this new magazine.

thank you for your comment on my poem "the end of the weekend"
it means alot to me when people understand the emotions behind what i write.
this poem, i feel describes my emotions, spot on!
its often the more upset the better the write in my case and im sure that goes for alot of other poets out there.
but like i said, its nice to know people understand and appreciate emotions these days, especially mine!!

Hey! Vary cool page!! Loved the new animation thingamujiggys.. Lovely quotes too! I particularly liked the on e which has a little candle at the side and goes "Your darkness defines your light". You are so very, very kind to say such wonderful things about this poem, but no doubt you can tell that it comes from deep within my soul. It is always easy to write about things that you believe in and which you really feel from within yourself. I hope with all my heart that you are going to submit a poem in my contest on "Nature and Philosophy", as this too can be about spiritual things. I was wondering if you had entered any of your poems in any international competitions. I really think that you have got extraordinary outstanding talent, which should be recognised not just on AP, but should be published. I submitted two of my oldest poems into two different competitions and to my utter amazement they are both going to be published, plus I am in the semi finals and could win $1,000.00 US for the one and $100.00 for the other. Although I don't really care about winning the money, its just so great to be honored and to get recognition, don't you think!! Love you lots

Hou gaan dit my ou maat!!! Sorry, oops my Afrikaans is nie so goed nie. lol To answer your question, I grew up in Durban, spent most of my working life in Joburg, and just before coming to live in Canada 3 years ago, I was working as a manamger on a developing game farm in Mpumalanga, not far from Carolina. Was just back in SA in January/February and went all over, including Vic Falls and Chobe and of course to the fairest Cape. Where are you from, so want to know more about you. Much love Marilyn
