Ah fifty – oh to see that youth again when sun sparkled on the ocean and my heart soared like a gull blithely along the shore… let not mere numbers numb your needs, but jest your joy in jolly deeds, merry japes for decades breed and sneer at ages ague. For though the reaper may not pause at least you clinch a humours chords, and sling at that blanched and bony gourd the antithesis of sorrow.
-
Holy mackerel girl! You're a champ! And you've got a twisted sense of humour that I admire so much! I don't what else to say except that I love your work... wow.. 207 poems?? Hey, I have 207 poems too.. but they're in my head! And unless I lose a few poetry brain cells they're staying their for the moment! You have a way with words that's inexpressible...just thought i'd let you know, in case you didn't already!!

Just read through your stuff that you couldnt imagine anyone wanting to know and found your interest in the elderscrolls. I love roleplaying games, though we still play with pencil and paper. All of us gathered around a table and taking on rolls that let us briefly escape reality. I do enjoy the computer games and the elderscrolls is one of the best that I have played. I also love Might and Magic. I can remember the first one I got for the commodore 64, Might and Magic II. It totally captivated my imagination and left alot of my chores undone..........lol. I havent found too many ladies that enjoy RPG's. Great to meet you gamer. Take care.
-
Good stuff. Are you referring to Muse as in the Neoclassical british band?
-
Hey, I noticed you like Billie Holliday....have you read Frank O'Hara's poem about her? It's really awesome. It's called "The Day Lady Died." I can e-mail it to you if you'd like, but it's also available on the web.

I appreciate your comments on ‘greedy fly” and never again ! For “never again”: It has been so long since I have read ‘the raven” I forgot about the repetition. I wrote “never again” in one sitting 30 minutes and never revised it. Your Insight to the purpose is right on the mark… Once you bounce down the stairs….ouch! You don’t own a secret computer camera.. do you!
Greedy fly is goofy poem… it was supposed to be… I was angry at a selfish person (greedy fly) it was written to blow off steam! The fly worm thing was on purpose…I usually call someone I dislike a WORM not a Maggot. But a maggot is more apt description …. Writing poetry is a on again off again task over the years… most of the work I have completed I have lost or misplaced.. Your criticism is important… . It gives me a fresh perspective on my intent. A poem should balance … too much weight in either direction, the structure collapses....
Thank you finding the time to write the in-depth comments.

Dear MuseStalker, I'm leaving AP due to going to school in France. I have your name up on my author page. I have enjoyed reading your poems for the last few months, and I think it will be impossible to forget you (or anyone else out here either.)

Oh, I love that "Moo Cow Moo" - it is just darling! I have never read this before - so glad you posted it here. This poem to you is a lot like "Little Orphant Annie" is to me - which is the first poem I can remember - other than perhaps a few nursery rhymes - but James Whitcomb Riley is the one I credit with giving me the love of poetry. I remember well my older sisters trying to memorize it at home when I was just a wee one, and the shivers would go up and down my spine when they came to the part about the "two great big black things"!!!
Best wishes,
Moses

Finding herself
She turned to her Muse
Took that soft palm
Into her own hand
And lovingly
Placed figure eights upon it
With a gentle guiding finger
Muse painted a smile
Upon her cherry red lips
And closed her hand
Around the gentle fingertips
And words were born
Of such a union
They flowed like the
Soft stream of teardrops
Painting patterns
Delicate patterns
On the face of a reader…

Hey ms you are perdyful

What a lovely pic of you! You look beautiful!
-
I love your new pic, you're so pretty.
-
You look good for your age. But, you are also the exact same age as my Mother who but will turn 50 on May 1st. But, still you look good for your age. I was thinking from looking at your pic that you were 36 but I guess I was wrong.
I once had a teacher in summer school right before 10th grade who was 52 but she looked like she was 30-35, and she was at that time really hot. All the guys thought so, not just me.
Anyways, just came by to say that I like your recent challenge (contest) tho I submitted a pre-written piece, if you feel that isn't what you are looking for exactly if you extend your deadline I could write another, tho it would only take me an hour or so to write the piece, editing however takes a bit longer.

I never comment to get replies, sweets. Don't worry about it. I know it's wierd, but - old woman that I am - I completely understand about school. I'm back in college and struggling mightily...so much more difficult to wait until you're senile to finish school...I don't recommend it at all. You owe me nothing but to keep writing your excellent poetry...when schoolwork allows, of course.

thanks for the comments and I'm honoured to be added to your favourites I'll try my best to get back to you as soon as I can, unfortunately I'm rather busy with school at the moment so I'm very lazy with returning the comments, but like I said, I'll try my best to come back to you.

Thank you for your wonderful cheering comment. I'm ok, it's just that some days are harder than others... I'm so glad that I found this forum so I can get out my feelings in a more healthy way and feel encouraged by loverly people (like you) and their kind words.

That puppy looks like my dog did as a puppy ... almost just like her. If looks say anything, then that dog will grow up to be damn near the best dog in the world.
Do you know its mix?

thank you always for your kind words to me, i do not think i deserve them, you are a much more capable poet than i. much more compassionate and talented.

Well, it's pretty awesome as it is now...can only imagine it as any better.
-
I thank you for the passing thought, always nice, a smile caught, from a friendly passing poet, one you know knows how to flow it… hmmm. I put the background together but the picture – side and enlarged detail is a famous picture – ‘The Large Turf’ by A. Durer – this format doesn’t do it justice – I had to squish it a lot to fit it in the AP constraints – file size.
-
Oh....stomps....I hope your Muse comes back soon...I so love your poetry. I have been a bit distracted lately as well. I guess that's the nature of poetry...the ebb and flow. I miss you though.
-
Just thought I should stomp through and say Hello! I am having a difficult time writing and commenting these days. So once I feel a little boost of inspiration and confidence, I promise to stomp through again and make some worthwhile comments..

I am okay. Thanks for your concern. I guess that I reached some sort of chatharsis when I wrote "Her Father" and I have not needed to write so much. I have not stopped writing. I am just taking a little break, but I promise I will return very soon.
