    Has the inspiration left?
I have a craving for more of your brilliance.

lmao. After a musical demonstration like that I certainly feel pressure to write something. I know I've been slacking (damn school), but thanks for the support, bro.

Woot for dancing singing people with maracas and spiffy socks!
  • Billig Billie on October 31, 2006
Yooooooou're the best sister eveeeeeeeeer *shakes maracas* but I wiiiiiiiiish you wrote more pooooooooooooerty *snaps cassenets* but no pressuuuuuuuuuuuuure because it's hard to get inspiration I knooooooooooww *strums guitar* but never stop wriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiting because you rock my sooooooooooooocks *dances*
  • Billig Billie on September 19, 2006
I try to comment on all of my favorite's poems, I'm sure i'll catch up soon, my computer problem is healing (if you can't tell by my not-late response!) I added a short one, but it's not very amazing. If you really want to see the deep though provoking ones like the ones you read go for the newer ones.
And yes, my hands fall off. it's sad, but they grow back in spring.

*hands a can of lysol* Get those little buggers...
Computer-less?! *shock gasp* How did you survive? My life would never be the same without my computer!
And if your hands are cold now, what'll happen in winter? Will they just freeze up and fall off?
Thanks for commenting! I like to return the favor, so post something new, lest I could back and read old dusty stuff.
  • Billig Billie on September 19, 2006
Hehe, sorry for the absence, I've been a little computer-less, but I'm still typing with mittens. It's my solution to freezing cold hands all day and my mild germiphobia. >.> Errr yes, but I like the alliteration better. . . it's. . . uh. . . magical.
I'll try to read an comment your new poems when I get the time
    .billie.
  • Medea on September 14, 2006
But applauding with mitten on doesn't have the same effect, ya know? All muffled. Cute wittle kittens, warm snuggly mittens, and pie! What more could we ask for?

Why, though, would one be wearing mittens while typing, and how does that work? You managed not to not hit every surrounding key, which is more than I can say for myself even when I'm not wearing mittens. XP Magical mittens much (woot, alliteration)!
  • Billig Billie on September 13, 2006
And a super hero you are!! Never doubt the power of reading and commenting and maybe applaudin XD@ Oh no, you must forgive me it is not easy to type with mittens on. Or gloves, I cannot decide what to call them. I like mittens, for it reminds me of kittens with mittens, which was a childhood favorite of mine. You know, I actualyl type better with mittens than I had thought! (somewhat)

When you say it like that, I feel like a super hero!

Making the world a better place one word at a time!
  • Billig Billie on September 12, 2006
Yeah, critiquing is fun, I much enjoy reading people's poetry, and I'm certain that they'll be happy when they recieve a thought-out and friendly comment on something they spent the time to work on and are eager to share with the world, so it's kind of like. . . helping make the world a better place. . . or something. Maybe. Cut me a break here! XD
    .billie.
  • Medea on September 12, 2006
Arg. Not fair. My computer class doesn't have the internet. I play lots of Mario and Minesweeper instead.

Quotes are fun, neh? I've been meaning to update the list. I find so many good ones around.

I feel so slow. Unless you've been to my author's page before, that means you were in school when this started, and I'm still working on critiques, and we're all home. I've never gotten such a good responce for comments in the shameless, even when I promise three to one, or when I actually promote. I know I'm rambling, but I'm prolonging my break from reading. It's fun to read and critique, but I can only take so much. Off I go...
  • Billig Billie on September 12, 2006
I had fun reading your quotes in study hall (well, in computer applications, but we never have to do anything), it's the saving grace in a land of boredom!

    echoing lies
    reverberate in my
    head

    echoing lies

    love me one more time
    and hug me farewell

    the shadows of yesterday
    get shorter as today
    blooms bright

    pulling toword the middle (median)
    and (shortened) fleeting shadows
    manifest again

    and by tomorrow
    today's shadows will become
    the shadows of yesterday

    (dissolving...)

    and by noon
    todays shadows
    will become

    the shadows of yesterday
    get shorter as today
    blooms bright

    (pulled toword the median)
    and fleeting shadows
    manifest again

    and by tomorrow
    today's shadows will become
    the shadows of yesterday

    the shadows of yesterday
    get shorter as today
    blooms bright

    (pulled past the median)
    and fleeting shadows
    manifest again

    and by tomorrow
    today's shadows will become

my scanty pink dress leaves my legs quite bare
They're long and lean, although have no muscle
and even though my dress is quite common here
i still love to rustle its short feathered bustle

Oh, what a life I get to live here
social hour lasts from dawn to dusk
we all mingle and eat shrimp cocktail at a wim
it never gets to my figure, just makes my dress pinker

Only 15?!? When I read your write I thought you must be older... well, I am 15 too lol . I see that you like reading classics and fantasy... me too! I'm really into classics now, and am reading "Persuasion" by Jane Austen (but that's for school ), but I like it. I've read "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Brontė too, and I loved it (that was NOT for school ). Otherwise I am a big fan of the LOTR. Anyway, nice talking to you!

Hey, do you know how to get the smiley faces icons?
  • swanpool on August 10, 2005
thanks for your comments on writers block, I think mine is caused by lack of sleep and a head full of chores rather than too much though.!!!
  • Medea on August 9, 2005
I've been meaning to read some of Jane Austen's books actually, evenly though I'm really switching toward the fantasy thing. I saw the movie Sense and Sensibilty, and I think the book must be even better. As for the Chronicles of Prydain, I've never actually read them. But I might have to go check them out. I was looking for something to read while I'm waiting for the next book in a series to come out. Thanks for mentioning that. **goes off to find look at amazon then read some of your poetry**
  • Juliette Rose on August 9, 2005
Hey! I love your mark twain quotes, and your poem Those Eyes is really just like a Cat. I like to read to, and when you said that you liked knight/dragon/warrior books, i thought, hey I think You're just like me, i just love magic books. Anyway, I thought that maybe that if you haven't read the Chronicles of Prydain, you might want to read them. They are pretty good. written by Lloyd Alexander, but you probably have already read them.Anyway, keep in touch with any other good books you have! Oh, and i really liked your poem the enchantress, i entered that contest too. but i think that your poem was much better than mine. i didn't really see the fairies in the drawing at first, so when i did i was like, crap! but i liked the drawing idea I had at first so i just kept it. And if you like classics, try Jane Austen, i'm reading pride and prejudice- it's pretty good. well keep in touch! juliette

  • sunny day on August 5, 2005
I had to come in and read about you after reading your poem for the contest. I noticed all the quotes from Mark Twain, one of my favorites also. I love your honesty and I can only say don't stop writing. I just added you to my favorites so I'm sure I'll be reading a lot more of your work. In regards to sports I say go "Red Sox", MA here...LOL!!! Sorry, I had to throw that one in there...hehehe. I just joined very recently but if you get a chance stop by my work, I am a rookie at this.
I would like to hear your thoughts on my work, you will be hearing mine for sure. sunny day

  • Medea on June 24, 2004
of coarse they cant. thats the point. it was to cover up the ku klux krazies attacks on people, among other groups. they reportd it in newspapaers that way. things like that or man ties 7 chains around himself and commits suicide in the river. wouldnt one chain have been suficiant? it low that people would do that to other humans based on race, and almost even lower that others would cover up for them like that.
  • on June 24, 2004
Oh, because a person *can* shoot himself 9 times in the head.
  • Medea on June 24, 2004
well, i cant tell where ur from cause it doesnt say on ur author's page.

I do believe everything i said. humans arent stooping any lower. theyve always been this low. i think that saying that a black man shot himself 9 times in the head in the early 1900s shows how low humans can be. that may be a random example, but it fits okay. i may believe that anything is possible, but im also expect realistic things. peace may be what we want, but it will never be completely obtained. its impossible because of the way people work. we're greedy for power etc.

u also talk about loving and connecting with people, yet u name call, and not very well at that. one, nothing of what i said was untruthful. i believed every word of it, so it was truthfully what i think. it is neither stupid, at least in my mind. nothing is stupid. u might disagree, but that is no reason it say what i say is stupid.
  • on June 24, 2004
    I don't believe you.
I can't. I'm afraid to, because it would show how low the human condition can stoop.
Do you seriously believe what you said?

Assuming I'm American is just as stupid and untruthful as your other thoughts.
  • Medea on June 21, 2004
I care that people are dying, but I think that the war was inevitable. People were dying over there, getting persicuted for there religion, or do you not care about them, because they arent Americans? Gore would have done the same thing or he would have put off the war, causing iraq to probably attack first. i want the us to leave iraq now, but i believe that they needed to be there in the first place. i will not deny that.

    btw- i love nature.
  • on June 21, 2004
Not only unlike the rest of the U.S but virtually also unlike the rest of the world. It's not an issue that gore might've done worse, it's the fact that Bush is ending lives and obviously you don't care much, because it's not you.
If you want to be wiccan, the first step is to love those around you and connect deeply with them on more than one level. And not only people but with nature too.
  • Syrinx on June 19, 2004
Cool...I'm also interested in Wicca, I've posted the wiccan reed on my Guestbook...and i call myself wiccanbelle(pretty witc lol 5 years ago) now i'm syrinx( the nymph.. don't add letter "o" ok?? it might mean different..lol
  • Medea on June 19, 2004
yeah, something like that. In our latin class we had to pick a latin name to be called by in class, and im sick of the name maria (in french its marie, in spanish maria, and latin its maria cause my name is mary). i looked just below that on the alphabetacle list and saw medea and next to it,it said witch. i was, and still am, interested in wicca, so i picked that name. since im so uncreative, i just use it for user names now. i rather like it. maybe i'll name my kid that when i get older.....
  • Syrinx on June 19, 2004
i remember MEDEA, the princess of Colchis, skilled in magic and sorcery. She fell in love with Jason and helped him, against the will of her father, Aeėtes, to obtain the Golden Fleece.Such a lovely name

ive never even heard of those other books, except the ones by garth nix, but maybe ill try reading them. im in a kinda rut with my reading, because i hate reading the prolouge of the WOT books. ive got so many other quotes like that too. i went on an insane spree, getting a bunch of random funny quotes. besides, gore wouldnt have done any better, kerry will not do any better, and bush will and has done just as bad. maybe its politians in general....

Ninety eight percent of the adults in this country are decent, hardworking, honest Americans. It's the other lousy two percent that get all the publicity. But then, we elected them.
