    HI GUESS WHO. I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED YOUR POEMS AND PROBABLY ALWAYS WILL. THOUGH SOME DO MAKE ME WONDER IF YOU HAD A BAD DREAM OR SOMETHING. I LOVE YOU AND WISH THAT I HAD HALF OF YOUR TALENT.

    In The Corner Of My Mind
    ( a poem for Mary )

    In a quiet corner of my mind
    There's a warm inviting place
    Where I see the love I left behind
    And again, I touch her face

    Not a measure of the lady's charms
    Have been lost to her with time
    As her baby soft as satin arms
    Come rushing into mine

    Her breath is like a sweet perfume
    As her hungry lips I find
    And her beauty over flows the room
    And all the borders of my mind

    The silent chamber of my heart
    Is now filled with music sweet
    Of her tiny voice, as our lips part
    And our throbbing bodies meet

    'I will love you till forever'
    Her voice now whispers low
    'And will I leave you - Never!
    I will never let you go '

    Then a cold and misty sorrow
    Into my mind comes stealing in
    And I call to her, tomorrow
    I will come to you again!

    When again I'll taste the pleasure
    Of the love I left behind
    A love to full to measure
    In the corner of my mind

    I am glad to see that you have decided to stay and read other works and hope that in time you will bring back your work and post new as well. I had only been pointed your was from our mutual friend Hugh Wyles when this person made AP not fun for you anymore. I join him in his request that you do not go and that you do reconsider the deletion of your work.

    thankyou. Some of my freinds on the site have asked me to not leave, and I will continue to visit here to read the works of others. I just have too much on my plate now to deal with this "meanie" right now. Thank you so much for caring, Mary

    Mary, thank you so much for sharing all these poems with me. They are utterly beautiful, and have left me in my own little world now-as I have said in one or two comments they're the best i've read on here-and have had me laughing out louds and crying too! Such an emotional half hour i've just spent reading you! Thank you for that experience

    To MARY HITES.
    Meeting by mere chance
    As if by Divine guidance;
    Reading each other’s poems,
    Yearning for closer acquaintance.
    Just from that first encounter
    Exchanges of trust and respect;
    Admiring each other’s talent;
    Noetic mutual attraction.
    Heartfelt confessions shared;
    Intensely confided secrets;
    True compassion welling;
    Empathy cementing friendship
    Seasons nor years will erode.

    Hugh Wyles, March 17th. 2004.

    Hi Mary!!
    Hello there! I want to personally welcome you to AllPoetry where you can hone your talent of writing by reading others' work as well as posting your own for critiques. You can check out all the neat features, such as special backgrounds to present your poems, stories, or articles for (columns). I can hardly stress to you how effective your commenting on others will be. Just read them and do it and the yield will bring about a following that will be uncanny if you stick with it. If you comment on at least (4) authors before you post your own, you'll see!!
    There is a lot of healthy competition in the contests that can earn you plenty of points so that you can either save them for holding your own contest, OR spending them to feature your work in the Showboard to the right of this screen. In fact, by reading the Featured you will have the opportunity to comment on some of the best on the site and those who are wanting opinions on improving. Please feel free to IM one of us with the colored highlighting over our names. If we don't answer, it's not on purpose. We might be logged off and our names still show in the list. Have fun!!!
