BEEP (see your "no one is home" comment)

Just dropping in. Relocation/vacation is getting near. (I like to state the obvious.) I like this web page...the roses on the dark background is nice.

Hi Yem. Sorry about your headache, that is no way to spend time, especially when the weather is so hot.
Should I turn off the lights on this page, when I go?
  • Yemassee on July 27, 2006
Hello, long time no, whatever. Just saying Hi...Hi. Haven't been around much myself. Had a nice round of cluster (migraine) headaches but I guess I survived them. Those were fun. It's been very hot and humid here. I can't wait for Autumn.

Change the rose background to cookies and such...it would be very soothing to me.

    have a nice week!

Ottawa is where we keep the government, when we have one. They don't make too much trouble, but they are a little expensive. Almost everyone speaks English here, and most speak French as well. My French is not good, but I can get by; it would be far better if I had to use it.
I'm off to school in a few minutes - Have a great day!
  • Sir Ima Cucumber on July 5, 2006
Besides otter's, what is in Ottawa? Do you speak French? There was a day when I knew a few simple sentences...but one year of High School French really wasn't much.

Thank you Mary! I will be here now and again, at least to keep up with Vera as long as she lets me. You did some spectacular work for Round 4, and I intend to comment tomorrow.
  • M.A.King on July 2, 2006
Stopping by to wish you all goodness and adventure in your move. You are much loved and any time you miss here will be our loss.

Hey a diary/journal would be interesting, especially during the transition. And it could be as eclectic as you want it, doesn't have to follow any set formula, just whatever you feel like adding at the moment. I think you'd be good at a journal because you have control of your subjects (from what I've seen) and a command of the written word. And if you run out of things to write about I can always send you some cow stories...

  • MargaretG on June 29, 2006
I'm working on something, sort of a diary for thoughts and info, but now you see I have posted a little schedule.
  • Yemassee on June 29, 2006
I was going to suggest you post something but felt it was a bit lazy of me...like I couldn't just remember what you tell me, lol.
  • MargaretG on June 29, 2006
Never fear, Yem, I'll give you notice! We have hired movers to come on Aug 8, so I likely won't be visiting AP much after that until we are settled in our new apartment.
I think I'll post a note at the top so that people know.
  • Yemassee on June 29, 2006
When exactly is the move? Will you be without the internet for a while?

Want me to tend your page for you? lol. Imagine the page you'd come back to? A Moxie background, pictures of cowz and puppetz and anti-social quotations...I'd also post some really horrible sonnets.
  • MargaretG on June 26, 2006
Sorry to confuse you, I meant that when I wrote the poem you read, I had been a member less than a month. Member since Mar 29, 2004
  • grannyeri on June 26, 2006
Stopped in to visit a fellow Canadian. You say you have been posting for less than a month? Were you a member before then? The poem I commented on was written in 2004. Thanks for the comment and applaud - have a great day.
  • MargaretG on June 25, 2006
Thanks Karen, I am much better today. We have a long weekend, so tomorrow will be a bonus.
    Blessings to you, sweetness!

Margaret , I do hope you are feeling much better today. The only "aim" I have is to send you a . ~ Klassy

Good evening Yem. The weather is fine here, but they expect more rain on Monday. I have a headache, since yesterday, so it's a moderately bad day. Whether I intend this or not is an interesting question.
  • Yemassee on June 24, 2006
Good morning MargoG. Raining here...which is good and bad. Not a fan of rain but I now have an excuse not to do any work around the house...the lawn needs serious mowing too...and I have a roof in need of re-shingling...tomorrow.

Have a good day of goodness...or badness if that is your aim.

I really have to curb my desire to entertain myself instead of doing what is necessary. I'll try to visit frequently, but especially while in transit in August, it may not be possible.
  • Sir Ima Cucumber on June 4, 2006
    absolve...too early for me
  • Sir Ima Cucumber on June 4, 2006
I absolve you from reading anything of mine until you are settled and bored of Kiev.

Listen to me...resolve...like I have some kind of power, lol.

Just drop by Yem's page every now and then.

9 of my 23 months here have been gifts. I think I paid for 12, and the other 2 have been as a freeloader I know, just me counting stuff again, it's a sickness
  • MargaretG on May 19, 2006
Have a wonderful weekend. I'll be away until Monday, celebrating two family birthdays.

I forgot to wish you a happy Mother's Day which is odd because I thought I came here and did that. grrr. Guess I got counting trophies...okay that was stupid of me. Sorry and Happy Belated Mother's Day.
