  Someone who stands tall
  Someone who stands brave
  Someone who doesn't fear
  Someone who doesn't flinch
  
  He can longer serve
  But is still respected by me
  He will never back down
  For he will always be a Soldier
  
  The war and battle haunts him everyday
  He hears the screams and booms
  He sees the blood and horror
  But yet he never backs down
  
  He is a Soldier
  He is still a hero
  Someone who gave up his rights
  For you to have yours
  
  He may still be alive
  But he no longer does the job he enjoys
  All because of an injury
  That he will have to heal from everyday

  Awww... don't be sorry for your rambling. Ramble on... ramble on... hehe. I try not to harbor negativity or ill will towards people I consider friends for one... and two I have no reason to have any negativity toward you. I don't think my sister would have any negativity toward you either. Don't know if you know yet though, but she now has a girlfriend... yeah I know... SURPRISE! lol. I joke with her about it and stuff... don't worry it wasn't your fault (lol again). Anyway, it's nice to hear from a friend once in a while even if you never see them and I always enjoy reading your poetry, I'm just never on right now 'cause I don't have internet at home. I would definately read your stuff all the time if I did though! I gotta go. Don't be a stranger, stop by my page more often and let me know how you're doin'!

  Aww thank you Lee :-). You were one of the first poets I saw on this site. Actually, you were the one that gave me ispiration to write. The first few poems I ever wrote were very timid and uncertain, after I read yours, I got more courage and opened up and out came a flood. I thank you for that and I still continue to read your work :-). And thank you for the comments. It seems I've been lacking on posting my works. I'll have to start doing that. Its been a while since I've actually came here regularly. If I'm ever in your town. I'll take you up on that offer :-P.
