MHaxC on February 18, 2006Yes, that is a good question. There seems to be something wrong with AP today because another mixup of who authored what, involving me, occured at about the same time you left this message. I'll be sure to look at your poem just to see what's up, but other than that I have no idea what's going on. Perhaps you accidentally selected "collaboration" under the categories menu?

MHaxC on November 20, 2005Yar, I do top Jesus. That dude asked if he could turn everyone into a Christian, and I said, "Ya, that'll be funny."
-
satirica on November 17, 2005I love you Henry! HAHAHA! But you're still a jerk. An awesome jerk, though. And The Greatest Human Being In The Course Of History! You top Jesus, man. Seriously.

see who ever you are, how can you prove God doesn't exist? See I really like talking about God and I'm sorry but I'm not going to fall into believeing whatever your trying to get me to believe or say your right cause your not. My religion is close to me, and I would never give that up. No one could ever prove God is not real to me, God wouldn't let that happen. You may keep talking about this subject with me, but PLEASE never get arguementive with me because I haven't done it with you yet. Either listen to what I have to say or stop coversating with me...PLEASE!!!
~Lyndz -
MHaxC on November 13, 2005If your answer is that you wouldn't give up your religion, then I'm sorry, but there is no more reason for me to continue this very interesting and educational converation. Why should I debate my side of the argument if you, even in the event that I prove you wrong, won't realize that I'm right (this is all in that hypothetical territory), then there is no reason for me to discuss this with you.
I would still love to keep talking about this though. -
DeuceIzWild on November 13, 2005You sure have a habit of arguing don't you?? And your 16 not 'adult'...
-
MHaxC on November 12, 2005If, this is a huge if, and of course you can reply back to me saying 'that will never happen', but I'm saying that IF someone could PROVE to you that God does not exist, would you accept the proof and give up your religion?
-
God does exist with the bible he shows us of the days he lived he lived on the earth. He also says this "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believedI" It's not always easy to believe in things we can't see. By the way I am a christian and never tell anyone who calls themself a christian who is saved and going to heaven that they aren't cause you have NO ROOM to speak. You don't know the ways of God enough to say what is Christian and what is not. And when you are talking about the sterotype of christians, we are to save people but I was pushing the truth about God to you, you asked the question about prayer and I gave you the aswer, you can take it as way to get you to God (in a way yes) or you can take it as the answer to your question. You seem to be so opinionated that you want give anything a chance in your heart, maybe you should try. Maybe you should have God...(thats telling you that I think you need to get saved, I didn't do that last time). Anways what you say about proof all you have to do is believe in Him, he's not here with us now but soon day will be. The bible tells of everthing, the bible is proof of his exisit and that heaven and hell are real and what and who is going to be going to heaven and hell. And you say you don't believe in human experience after death, well you tell me how you would have proof that there is something after death in the real world? God's bible shows us. "The only thing I can do is travel that path when the time comes"...well I jsut dont know what to say to you about that. God does exists.
-
MHaxC on November 11, 2005Thank you for the verses, amazingly enough this Atheist does have a Bible, but thanks anyhow.
It's very interesting reading your response because in the way that you did it, you are confirming the one stereotype which I wasn't sure of. You, as a Christian, are immediately trying to convert me into a Christian.
I understand what you say here, "that is not hte way of christian today". I'm saying that you can call yourself a Christian all you want, but in reality you are not a Christian as Christians were intended to be, unless you adhere to Catholicism, which is the Original Christianity I was talking about.
"Why are you an atheist? You said in your second paragraphy from the bottom about people and there different religions...well people will be condemed to hell for prasing alters and anything not of the God."
There is a difference between belief and knowledge. You believe that people will go to hell for praying to alters not of God, but do you have proof that this is true? You say these people WILL be condemned, but I am saying they will NOT be condemned. How can anyone prove which of us is right?
The more obvious general example is this: You say God exists, I say God doesn't exist. How can anyone prove that either of us is correct?
You say that all I have to do is believe that Jesus died for me and I will go to Heaven. I don't believe in Heaven or Hell, I don't believe anything about human experience after death because there is no proof at all about what occurs then. The only thing I can do is travel that path when the time comes.
How is it that you KNOW God exists? I don't care if you believe in God or not, I may not believe in the president of the United States, but nonetheless, he exists. -
Well anyways okay, I guess I'm that pissed as you say at you anymore. But you still have your answer on Christain's a little off. Prayer is pushed to do, so you can talk to God and tell him about your sins, what your feelings, adn everything. There aren't any christain I know that don't not talk to god and just accept everything that happens to them. He wants us to talk to him about how we feel, i mean he knows what we are feeling without having to talk to him, but he wants us too. Prayer is what he wants...here are some veruss--
Psalms 116
1. I love the Lord, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy
2. Because he tunred his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.
3. The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came upon me; I was overcome by trouble and sorrow.
4. Then I called on the name of the Lord: "O Lord, save me!"
5. The Lord is gracious and righteous; out God is full of compassion.
6. The Lord protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, he saved me.
7. Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.
8. For you O Lord, have delievered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbing,
9. that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living.
10. I believed; therefore I said, " I am greatly affected".
11. And in my dismay I said "All men are liars".
12. How can I repay the Lord for all his goodness to me?
13. I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord
14. I will fulfill my vows to teh Lord in the prescense of people.
15. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of my saints.
16. O Lord, truely I am your servent; I am the servent the son of your maidservent; you have freed me from my chains.
17. I will scarfice a thank offering to you and call on the name of the Lord.
18. I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people.
19. In the courts of the house of the lord--in the midst of Jerusalem. Praise the Lord.
Also in Isiah 59:1
Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear
It also meantions in the bible where Jesus went and prayed to God...Mark 1:35--> Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
You are to pray to God to heal those in need, to save those in need, you pray to god for a need for a truth to be shown, yu pray to talk to God. Maybe you should the answer why do we as humans question people we trust? Because there is always someone or something there to make you slake off a little bit with the trust. Where are you reading about all thses orginal christian things, because that is not hte way of christian today. If you are refer to the old testments, those are the way when God was on the earth, its just like people living back then not ever talking to Jesus when he was there with them, just be silent. People wanted to talk to him and so they, pray is our way of commiuncating with God because he is not here on earth with us today, but some day soon he will be. Why are you an atheist? You said in your second paragraphy from the bottom about people and there different religions...well people will be condemed to hell for prasing alters and anything not of the God...all you have to do is believe he died for you and you will go to heaven, other then that you will go to hell. Religions are different, but this is the one religion that gets you to heaven and thats why there are soooo many missions out there spreading the word of god like we are too. Spread the world of his message.
Respond if you want...

MHaxC on November 11, 2005Ok, I get what you're saying: seventeen years old, having problems with life, turn to God to find answers/advice/someone to talk to.
In a way it's very fortunate that we should meet, albeit on the internet, because we represent the two extremes of today's society. You, seventeen, devout Christian and I, sixteen, atheist.
I would ask that you correct me in any fault that I say about Christians or Christianity.
Ok, here we go:
Christians believe in God. The Bible is the Christian Book, it is God's book. The Bible states that God is benevolent and omnipotent. Through the reformation, or perhaps just time, different forms of Christianity were created that have different views on how God behaves, whether he is malevolent, benevolent, omnipotent, powerless. There are many differing views nowadays.
What I'm trying to say is this: The only true Christians are those who believe in Christianity in it's purest, most original form. I'm not saying that those who believe in altered or newer version are going to Hell or anything, but they are of a different religion entirely. Of course they are! They have to be! The original Christianity says that God is benevolent and omnipotent, whereas newer versions say that he is something else entirely.
Therefore, you are correct in wanting to pray for your sins, or for your problems, or for just wanting someone to talk to; whatever your reason may be. I'm saying that that is not the way of the Original Christian. The Original Christian had to trust God if they wanted to be Christian. I'm saying that if there was absolute trust in God, then why would there need to be prayer? Why would you question someone who you trust completely? I'm saying that in the Original form of Christianity, there was a mistake written saying that you need to pray. I'm saying that as long as an Original Christian has absolute belief and trust in God, then they don't need to pray, because they KNOW that no matter what happens, even if they don't like it, God made it happen and therefore it is the right thing.
Like I said though, you may not be one of these "Original Christians", so you can pray if you want to, you can anything if you so choose.
Please respond, I'm eager to hear your thoughts.

omged!! You need to learn who to comment on and not to comment on!! I wrote that as a prayer to God, and HELL YES when your a CHRISTIAN you pray to God! Prayer is good and I dont know where you were rasied or anything, but taught you prayer was unnesssary when your saved. I love God with all my heart, but im just going through a rough time and you need to always talk to God and let him knwo what you are feeling. You got the whole idea of Christian wrong. And this isn't a poem, ITS A PRAYER, and i needed to vent some of my thoughts. YOU NEED HELP TO LEARN WHAT A SAVED PERSON A CHRISTAIN!! You can always talk to me, but you got the wrong idea in your head whoever you are!!
