-foreverandever on February 9, 2006lol i love the random conversations
so much fun can be had on a machine... much more than on a tractor anyway... -
Lyra on February 6, 2006Er, well, I have quite a few, as I said. Any amount is fine; I have more than enough to offer a contest as is, but if I get more, I can offer a larger contest, obviously.
-
PortkeyToNowhere on February 6, 2006I'm willing to offer some points, I just need an estimate of how many are needed at this point?
-
Isuzu on January 18, 2006Heya Ly-chan, I joined the site as well, I saw you on it and decided that it might be a good idea to try my hand at some of the contests and have a new place to put my poetry.
...and I just failed at life. Can we say run-on sentance? -
Raist on January 16, 2006Cheeers for your comment and although I am not a form purist I like the suggestions you made and I have used them as it doesn't break the idea I wanted to convey so thankies for the input
-
Lyra on January 11, 2006I sure did. It went with one of my earliest poems. The full picture can be found here: www.deviantart.com/view/4098256/

Lyra on January 11, 2006I don't think it's your face... the haircut maybe, I dunno. The person you're reminding me of had a lip ring though, I think.
Ah, though I do need to get ahold of some sort of a therapist so that I can stop taking things out on my friends. I've heard those same sentiments about the therapy before though, so I figure I may just go in as a depression patient or something. I thought I was bipolar for the longest time before finding out about BPD, but looks like I've escaped the double-whammy you've got, poor thing. I want to get this under control though, so I can live a normal life... heehee, I guess my motto makes more sense to you than to most. -
MarkMyWords on January 11, 2006I tend to look familiar to a lot of people. I have a bit of an ordinary face. hehe.
And it's really interesting that I've met someone with BPD. Hasn't happened before. One of my friends has Paranoid Personality Disorder, but that's it... and most of my friends are "insane" but that's another story.
You get lucky, being undiagnosed. No crazy therapy for you. I'm at doctors' offices twice a week. DBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, for BPD patients, is pure hell. Let's just say I hate my doctor off and on about 8 times an appointment because he constantly questions all my motives.
Well, keep in touch.

angelofcleansheets on June 5, 2004I read your quotes up there... they were freaking hilarious. I especially liked the one that stated, "I want to bludgeon him to death... humanely," and the one about tampons & condoms ("Pick one.") I laughed. Tell me if you add more. That was mad cool.
-
KiaraDLennon on May 5, 2004No offence, but this sounds like post-modernism bullcrap. I've got a contact on another site who's having issues with this, and here you are shoving it in the face of another writer. I'm glad you have the conviction to speak what's on your mind, but rather than telling her writing in the first person is a no no, suggest to her how she can fix it!

biodizzle on March 24, 2004i spelled "really" wrong.

biodizzle on March 24, 2004your author's page seems to be reall loooooooooong. but hi. you dont know me. and i dont know you. hence the situation we find ourselves in.

horus8 on March 16, 2004Oh, lol, I was just joshing on you, but it did need some work, overall, I think you're going to be fine. What I like to do, is avoid writing about how I feel in the now. Often it's wiser to write about someone else that you have a affinity for, similiar to you, you'll find that by describing them and bringing them to life, you also work great therapy on how you percieve yourself and your environment.
-
horus8 on March 16, 20041. never talk about yourself in first person unless you are pulitzer material.
2. never mention basic emotions (pain, crying, soul anguish, depression, rain, loneliness, isolation... etc.) it's posh.
3.Always write in second or third person because you want too.
not because you have to.
4. never contradict yourself because you can, only because you have to.
5. avoid subjects that everyone is sick of writing and reading about.
6. never use the word albino unless it's a point of the plot.
7. never mention a fact of description unless it has some bearingon the story.
8. don't describe something just because you can unless it has a direct coralation to the stories layers. -
slayer89 on February 28, 2004i like the style
