I hear you, I hear your voice in the wind it's faint but there, remember me it says from the wind, remember me as i was and as i am now, remember the happiness and not the sorrow, remember the good times and not the bad, look to the future and I will still be there, look to the stars and you will see me, please don't forget about me, I wont I say back as the wind blows around me as if hugging me........ I ponder the possibility of living life like it says but still remembering it....... Some of us in the health care field have started to use the word "average" rather than normal. Sorta gives a different feel, doesn't it? As in, there are people of average height, and then there are little people. There are people of average weight, and then there are people who weigh more than average or less than... The average person has a male or female gender and matching sexual orientation... you can take it from there. I thought your contest had some very interesting entries. Sorry I was too late to enter. I don't think "normal" should be stricken from the human language. The fact is there are things that aren't normal, including transexuality. What should be stricken from society is the common assumption (and justification for hate) that things that are not normal are therefore wrong.

Are you pleased you joined up?

I'm glad I joined a few years ago. Being able to write poems that people will actual read has helped me a lot. I was reading my poetry from when I first joined yesterday, and it is absolutely terrible (structure, meter and pretty much everything else). Even I will admit that I have improved. It's comforting.
