    Wirecutters Ready and Regrets None
    for Lish

    breathe in breathe out
    i'm walking as a machine
    it's like i'm darth vader
    everything is automated

    eat sleep work play dream
    suddenly wake up sweating dream rolled in hay
    thinking i ruined my chances, coz i didn't kiss
    danced under stars, but move on, no ackward silences

    feel like i lost touch? lost hope? never
    lost a friend to barbwire inner demons
    catching on clothes ripping skin pure pain
    lift shards of shreds if i could show you my heart

    not some crappy romance love lost, just a request
    hold compress on friend's chest up when he shows you
    that he cares and never will know why you wouldn't say
    but that's not my worry, i still smile day to day

    enriched by the people i meet and have pleasure
    to know intimately and lose my troubles for a while
    sitting in those beautiful moments but i can't go
    onwards forever stuck in place, it's not for me

    smash through those barbwire doubts stopping us up
    like boyscout i got the wire cutters just in case to help
    not saying be ready to even have a condom and be prepared
    but i'm sure with you, to the extreme you'll find a place

    gotta find a place where you belong to yourself
    not live to serve someone who self-pities, it's not equal
    unless you live on your own two feet to love yourself
    before you try out anyone else, who knows what love is

    forever trust yourself for who you are
    never opened myself this way
    all these words i just say
    nothing else matters as i sought in you

    trust, opened my mind to different views
    but never found the right place
    never knew what you'd want or like
    knew not my darker side, reserved to keep you afloat

    thanks for wandering through my life
    it was beautiful like a photograph in my mind
    my hand holding yours holding mine
    thanks for it all, pain and joy
