  • erasing0180 : Hey there on April 25, 2007
    Will you ever post again?

So many good comments from you when I culled my anthology today.
  • jaunty pill on March 28, 2007

    Is that really you?

I can't explain how much I've missed your presence. Even if I myself have been mostly missing in action.

    Good to see you.

Just stopped by to see what you're up to. Not a lot huh? Been a long time since you've been on. Hope you are well.

    Where are you?
  • on December 10, 2005
you are so strange. you know i come back here (your page) frequently. i wonder what's going on in your life, what beautiful thing you wrote about, or if you'll ever pursue language for artistic achievement. all of this being rhetorical, i guess, i just want to know who you are and where you're going. are you really so shy?
  • jaunty pill on November 14, 2005

yes. I do know you. you're that person
who I enjoy reading whenever I be not procrastinating
and doing nothing on top of nothing. how goes it?
  • erasing0180 on September 9, 2005
we continued the discussion on my page
    so what's your story anyhoo?
  • Laurili on August 6, 2005
    you two are fun.
    !!
    l-.
  • erasing0180 on August 4, 2005
hey, you were completely welcome and fair to refute.
however, because this philosophically interests me, and because laurili's not around, and this i guess having a long discussion on her home page is an impish comment on her not being around...

By not writing as often as possible, we let beautiful ideas wither away.

see, i'd agree with not letting beautiful ideas wither away.
but what if you feel empty - not hollow or unplesantly or any hint of trauma-repression - i shouldn't say empty. what if, full of nothing in particular? what if you, in fact, have no beautiful ideas at the moment, are not inspired, and try to write anyway, falling back on ideas you once had, habits, imitations of actual inspiration, a rote you created yourself?

I have maybe one day in a hundred these days where anything is happening, mentally or emotionally, worthy of comment. if i wrote on those days, it would seem to me like trying to give water instead of blood.

i think people who write every day have minds and persoanlities that simply don't let them go 24 hours without some emotion/psychological stirring.
    lucky them.
  • erasing0180 on August 4, 2005
return to comment on sticks and twigs!
    ha!
  • on July 27, 2005
Not to refute, but I don't see anything wrong with a writing reflex. I would love one. All of my writing is trite regardless of it. As William Styron put it, "every sentence seems dead". The goal of writing everyday is to bring life to the sentences through a relentless, pounding of the chest -- a sort of cpr, I guess. I think by not writing as often as possible, we let beautiful ideas whither away. But every writer has their own style.

However, J and I do share one belief: you should post again.
  • erasing0180 on July 24, 2005
    hey

    where have you been?

a lot of very good writers, including but not limited to foetus, have said in my hearing to write every day, but I continue to flat out disbelieve it. I think it's super-important to not write very often at all, otherwise you learn to just do it by reflex, by twitch, by the secondary nervous system - and without time for larger themes to build up untouched in one's mind, all of one's writing becomes trite and short-term.

For me, anyway. I have no idea if I'm "right", and sincerely doubt the concept applies.

    You should post stuff again.

If that's out of the question, drop by my corner instead (whine)

    smiles,
    J

Titchener's students must have written some beautiful poetry, ay? I make sure to jot down words every day now. Most of it ends up as scrap. Though, the point is that I'm writing. I wait for free time to focus and make use of any scrap. It's disappointing when that only produces scrap as well, but you learn from your mistakes and move on.[blush]Don't worry about a comment for me... I don't mind being bumped aside if it means you'll have more free time for your own poetry.

There are so many people in the world of literature. It's a competetive place, full of finicky minds. The only way to stay alive is to write all day long -- even writing nonsense can keep you fresh. I've been told it helps develope a relationship between the writer and their work. Finding intimacy with the beauty of our cognitive epiphanies. You know what I mean?
  • on March 10, 2005
    missed you too.
    wrote a poem!

Hiya Laurili thanks for all your kind words. I'm well hope you are too. I know. It's cold here too. 8 inches fell over the weekend and more on the way but I'm sure it is worse up where you are. But just think, it's only 8 weeks till spring!

Aw. I always blush when someone calls me baby . But enough of my sentimentality. I'd like to say the many essays and research papers that pop up every semester is what's keeping me from posting, but, honestly, I've just been too lazy to really sit down with any of my writings to work out the first draft kinks. I'll post something soon, though.
  • Crunt on January 14, 2005
Hey, thanks for your comments. A crunt is a cunt without an "r" and a fluffer is the person who keeps men hard on porn shoots. What's a Laurili?

    Happy holidays

I have been here , And loved what I've read so far...What I commented on was very good. You should be proud of your writing. It's very well-done.

Take care of yourself and thanks again for that applause ,

Yes. In fact, here's the whole book: The Temperary Autonomous Zone (T.A.Z). There's sound clips of him reading the poems to music on the site as well. (And if you read closely, the book is anti-copyrighted. What a poetic terrorist he is!)

Sounds interesting. Does the book mention anything about a connection between Frederico Garcia Lorca and Salvador Dali?
