Kids do and say the funniest things. I also loved what your son wrote in his notebook about being the sun and a black hole. Very creative and thoughtful.

I would offer not advise other than to keep writing about what you feel and nver write about what you think others want. You have talent keep it up.

Death of the Author on September 22, 2007I just randomly popped onto your page somehow and I am ever so glad that I did, it really was a funny, insightful, personal and sweet read. All of the things you have said I agree with and the way you put even your "About me" kinda thing, was poetic. That poem by your son is also quite bloody fantastic! What a wonder a child's imagination and creativity is eh?
I love to draw as well as write poetry so hearing you're an artist too (for that is what you are - you are right not to listen to whoever told you otherwise!) is the icing on a very enjoyable cake. Woo what a metaphor *rolls eyes*. Sorry for this completely random load of gibberish! Good luck in your poetry, your drawing, with your wonderful family and in your life. Take care! I too fell in love with poetry after reading Ralph Waldo Emerson and Robert Frost and Edgar Allen Poe. My Favorites always. Thanks for your wonderful poetry and thanks for the great glimpse into your lovely life. I too have children. 2 girls ages 8 and 5 and 1 boy age 7. Have a great Life and spend as much time as you can with your children for they grow so quickly it seems like they were just born yeaterday and they will be moving out tomorrow.
