Well next week I start "night shift" so I won't be on much anymore. Will drop by occasionally when I can. Take care everyone and keep writing...

    Hugs...Eddy

Remember it well. Saw it at the drive-in which they ruined when they went from manual speakers to broadcast over the radio.
Many good times there and the sloppyjoes were excellent.
Also saw the next tho nothing ever is as good as the original is it. We were talking about "her" a few months back, she has a famous brother who too, tho his name slips my mind at the time.

    Eddy--
If you remember Desiderata, Neil Diamond, Jonathan Livingston Seagull and 8-tracks, you gotta remember "One Tin Soldier" and Billy Jack, right? Great stuff, for the time.

Ofcourse I love my daughter, I love everyone, even those who smite me, for they know not what they do...
The name is simple. I do not write for myself, I write
Just for you (Just4u). You have fun studying now for it is
important to learn something new everyday especially
OUTSIDE of your normal zone. This way we grow even more...

    Love, dad
  • Lady Eventide on September 5, 2006
Good morning, dad. I went and changed my name...I hope you don't mind. I did have a few poems that I wanted to write with my new name...and hope you get around to it. The contest I entered is what I think you should try. I'd really like to know the story behind your name. I'm about to get off and study. Have a good day, dad.

Love, your daughter. (That's not a question )

Just be warned that I do spank when necessary...lol

Hey, Eddy, do you want to be a part of my AP family? You can be my dad. I hope that doesn't make you feel old.
  • rebjean on September 3, 2006
I LOVE that you have "Desiderata" posted with your bio! I still have a poster of it... think it needs to be recirculated.
    I'm loving your poems!
  • Lady Eventide on August 31, 2006
Hey. How are ya? I loved your song. I've got some more stuff you can turn into songs...if you want to.
  • Sagittarius on August 30, 2006
Hey Dude. How's everything in North and South Dakota? West and East for that matter. Inspire me a little willya. I can't get anything started. I'm on empty.

    Dear just4u,
Please read "In A White T" thanks

Might have been a kid like me. We always used to hang around abandoned houses and even cemetaries. Who knows maybe we were missing the people who used to live there and moved. I know it probably kept us out of more trouble then it got us into...lol
    Hugs...Eddy

    Hello
Thank you for reading Words Ignored. I haven't thought of that old house in years. Then all of of a sudden there it was in a story/poem form. Now that I'm older it must have been kids making noises and without thinking bumped my arm. But on the other hand maybe not. Who can tell? The other way sounds more scary and I WAS scared. Kids DO have vivid imaginations and so do OLDER KIDS like me. LOL.
    See Ya

Thanks for the information. I never really noticed what your real name was. I was always too busy reading your poetry. Nice to meet you, Eddy. My sister and brother (my brother, Nathaniel Holt, is a poet on here) are both turning different ages next month too. I wish you a happy birthday...in advance.
  • Just4u on August 28, 2006
Well that (nightmare)isn't what I wrote...it came by system reset. Whenever the site messes up and they restore backup my the nightmare thing appears and I finally just got tired of editing it back so now it stays...lol
I'll be 53 next month and my real name is at the bottom
of every poem next to copywrite logo...but most friends call
    me Eddy for short...
  • Lady Eventide on August 28, 2006
52 and a nightmare. Hmm... sounds a bit like my dad... except he's 53. I wonder if that's just what people who were born before 1955 are like. Don't really know. All I know is...your era had better music and better actors too. I wouldn't have thought you were 52. If I didn't know my dad, I wouldn't know he was 53. Nice to meet you...what's your real name?
  • BonBon on August 23, 2006
Hahaha on your comment on my silly BonBon Philosophy On Old Age.
Bigger shoes. Now that is an idea. Instead of fat ankles maybe I'll have great big fat toes. LOL So I'll have to wear sandals all winter long. Oh! My! I can just picture it. I put life in cartoon forms in my mind. Hahaha I can just see it now. Skinny legs and ankles with fat toes. Thanks for the giggle.
    Hugs

Ed...I read some of your wonderful poems....they tell a story.....rhyme and seem to have a melody.......I think if you drop some of the filler words....your poetry would be much much more delightful......to write in this form you have taken upon yourself......takes talent......and this you certainly have....and show....

hi you probly don't don't remember me but you once left me this comment

"Life is the the swinging of the pendulumn of a grandfather clock
going back and forth between good and bad, so when things are going bad we need only hold on, for eventually things will swing back toward the good again."

i just wanted to say thankyou because I've kept this with me for a long time and it's helped alot

Thank you for the Birthday Wishes- surprised that someone remembered! Always there in the wings with a small kindness and a smile. It is one of the many attributes that convince me of your angelic origins.

    Cheers Eddy x

Eddy! I miss your poetry...I'm hardly ever on here anymore. Which is sad. I should do something to fix that situation. It was nice to have a smile greeting my page courtesy of you.

I will read and comment soon...right now, though, it is time for bed, for I have been traveling and am weary.

Simplification is life's real secret, for in it we see just have much unnessary baggage we really do carry in life, most put there through our acts of denial.
  • Zez on July 18, 2006
thanks for the poem eddy. sometimes its the profound depths of the simple things that give daily life meaning.

Eddy my friend ..... back and hoping to find a reason to write. Inspiration to me, is something like a thunderstorm; All in me and as close as I want it to be ... and then, gone.

Reading Just4U - always made me ... think.
