    Sis,
I am enjoying my vacation, but still wish I had come to visit you instead. I will call you soon. I miss our long talks and that humor we share no matter the distance between us. I will come visit you soon though hun, promise. Hugs:hug: kisses:kisses: and love Jacki. You are one of the very few people who has ever been a TRUE friend to me through thick and thin.

Glad to hear from you my dear sister. I too hope all is well with you and yours. I am quite busy these days. I love the summer job I have. I work with some exceedingly talented teens. That are fulfilling the void in my world while my grandson is in Miami with his cousin and auntie. I miss him so. He was actually attached to my heart for the past six years, (all of his little life) as I was his baby-sitter. I hope your PC woes have come to an end.

    Adventure's End

I’m leaving her with a broken heart.
My heart is turned to stone.
I think I will never make a new start.
I am so very all alone.

I knew I never really had a chance, and the ride would end somehow,
But every time I road her it was really quite a blast!
Then at last she flew away, cause Pegasus doesn’t allow
Any contact with lowly human beings to last.

    I just stopped by today
Hope you are having a wonderful day
    That's festive and really gay
Because I would have it no other way

    Champagne at midnight...bootie call,
watch out for St. Nick, he ain't that tall
Drink moderately so you don't fall
And if you're quesy--lean against the wall

What started out as a little note
Became a poem the size of a boat
    My head is medically afloat
My dog has now turned into a goat

    Happy Holidays Gregg

I saw a horse fly once,
    Not a horse-fly but a horse fly!
    It had wings like chiffon
    It coasted in the air
Like a great bird of prey
    Soaring through the twinkling stars
    Glistening in the jet-black heavens
It was dark and the beautiful animal glowed
Magnificant wings sailed on the breeze
I saw a horse fly once
    Not a horse-fly but a horse fly...

Thanks for the inspiration your beautiful page gives. I love this!

No, no, I'm the one being sarcastic! Sorry about that, and anyways, I'm glad you liked my poem! I'm gonna read some of your stuff now.
  • Exploit Stereotypes on July 30, 2005
Hey, don't worry, I'm just joking about the punctuation thing! Sarcasm, it's a horrible thing.

'Thank you for your kind comments , sadly` nobody got the opportunity to say goodbye Sue went into hospital to have a blood clot removed from her leg ...and it had moved to her lungs. a nurse found her dead on the floor ... the very next day ... unknown to us all` Sue was riddled in cancer and that is what killed her. her brother went to meet her from the YDH and was taken into a little room to be told the bad news , we had been asked round for evening lunch` the night before too ... but I just knew that something was wrong because Sue would not look at me and she said very little to anyone.
it seems crazy` but I still expect to see her in Acomb whenever we go shopping and I still ask my wife if we are going to see them at christmas too .... there is this hugh whole in my heart and nothing a can ever fill it.
but` I can not cry and that hurts more than anything because Sue was my soulmate, I will never get over her death and we lost so many family members around that time too.
thank you for showing you care.

    your friend

    Carl

That piece, Not Waving but Drowning, nailed me right between the eyes. Sometimes, when my eyes are just a touch bright with the pain I barely hold in check, I wonder why no one hears my screams...they are so VERY loud in my mind.

I can always see the pain in other's eyes. Are they all so oblivious or do they just not care?

In a starlight canopy sky a darken canvas
Brings night it speaks my angels are there.
My little flowers leaving their petals close
Around my heart as the rain of tears fell.
I love these precious ones I call my friends
I’ll hope to bring the sunlight to their days.
When my sunset goes to rest and soon arises
I greet them with a warm embrace held close.
They are my difference in God’s true promise
If I feel sometimes alone they are beside me.
    By Sherry Finley

You and a few others I wrote this for.

I noticed you stopped by and read one of my poems so, I thought I would stop by and say hello.

I know the road to addiction is a rough one as I have gone down it for the past 18 years with my husband. Have faith in yourself. Yes, there are times when you stumble but as you know, you pick yourself up, brush yourself off and carry on.

I will keep you in my prayers. Be Well and Be Blessed.
