Lurie on September 17, 2006Hello old friend!!!! It's been awhile hasn't it. I was in the hospital awhile. I really messed up my right leg and had to have surgery to fix it. I'm lucky to be walking again. But I'm back! I just entered bandaged's contest. It feels good to be writing here again!!! Lot's of Love! ~Laura

Ironfeather on December 22, 2005I don't really understand yours either -- they are all different and yet all the same at some level. Be careful.
-
Everglow on December 22, 2005I don't understand much about your war other than that my uncle and parents told me. I do read alot and I read Marine Sniper and the other Book about the Gunny Sniper, but that will never put me in your boots. Thank you for your encouraging words. Merry Christmas and Happy new year.

Ironfeather on November 18, 2004Douglas M.Todd (AKA Ironfeather)
Sorry I did not respond sooner but I have been away.
It happens to all of us. I seem to have perpetuated it when I named my Son "Cameron" -- that is also a popular last name. -
Mark Rickerby on October 27, 2004Hey,
I was just about to say Aftermath needs to be published immediately and am happy to see that it HAS! Congratulations!! That's awesome. I'm sure it will help a lot of soldiers. I'm going to order it when I've got a little extra dough. I've thoroughly enjoyed reading your work tonight and can't wait to read the rest. Thanks.
Mark
P.S. Is Todd your first name or is Doug your first name? I went to your home page and it says Todd Doug but then the notes above it say Doug Todd! lol That's why I had to edit this. I said "Hi Doug", then I changed it to "Hi Todd", then I gave up and just said "Hey". I bet that never happens to you, huh? haha
Edited on Oct 27 because ''. -
Ironfeather on October 26, 2004...Nothing to be nervous about! Published writers are just writers that got lucky! Have you read "John Brown's Body" by Stephen Vincent Benet? It is THE GREAT CIVIL WAR EPIC and not to be missed by anyone who is interested in Poetry or The Civil War.
-
LdyBrknWing on October 26, 2004OK; I'm getting closer......I've made it to the Author's page! Yeah!!! And I see here that you've been published!!! Now that's incredible! (I'd have been VERY nervous if I'd been aware that a published author was reading anything of mine!
) You must be VERY talented, so I'm about to "dig in," and find out for myself!

Pamela on October 16, 2003I did know of that composition of EAP..while browsing through an auction of his works, i came across possibly the very one you referred to, but i lost the bid
I did, however, manage to win one on a collection of EAP which contains much info written by the man, himself, on a few of his own writings, The Raven included ( circa 1890) ...fascinating for sure!
I thank you very much for the info, and for your willingness to find it again..tis a very thoughtful thing to have offered
much love & peace

phatalvision on October 14, 2003Hi Ironfeather,
thanks for reading and commenting on my poem. I don't resemble that remark, but, I'm gittin' pretty good at it. Thanks for stopping by, it was great hearing from you. If you have the stomach for it, I have one more called Hillbilly Christmas Cake. -
Pamela on October 14, 2003Taking time to thank you for sharing your talent with me..had it not been for your comment left on a write of mine..i may not have made it to read you..
I'm left in awe of the talent you possess with only two readings thus far..
You have found a place on my fave's list...THANKYOU
much love & peace

Ironfeather on October 14, 2003Thanks, Gemini! (Your first name wouldn't happen to be "Trance"?)
I need all the help I can get and this has been VERY helpful!
About collections -- is there any way to control the order in which they appear within the collection? Ideally, I think, they should appear in the order in which they would place in a book so that they would onnect better with each other. Is that possible? -

Ironfeather on October 8, 2003Thanks, Monk! I read some of your Haiku and was interrupted before I finished -- I will go back. It takes a lot of discipline to write this form and do it well! (You do it well!)
-
haikumonk on October 8, 2003Hey, welcome here. I'm going to check out your "Older God" poem. It sounds like a great title and you have a cool pen name.
Best wishes here.
