Rose Angel : Thanks for Dropping In Moses! on March 15
I am glad you stopped by...I have seen a contest you put on, and my ap brother Roaddog Wolf entered it...It was a very humorous one!
I can appreciate your Amish background as my uncle and aunt live in Pennsylvania, and near a community of Amish people, and have given us a book to read...which I am working on finishing.
You are very talented to say the least! I appreciate your Christian faith.. I am from Canada... I hope you will read a poem or two of mine....and I will yours...Constructive criticism in an IM is always welcome ...Will drop by again, and in the meantime I will be reading some of your works....God bless you friend!!
P.S. my niece is attending the University of Indiana right now 3rd year music major...Plays the cello in one of the orchestras....

BonnieQ : To the Best Poet of the Century! on March 11
Ya know, Moses, I realize I have been reading your poetry for a number of years and thought I should tell you that your talent is remarkable. Personally, I think you are one of the few poets I would consider a master of the art for the 20th and 21st centuries. Your timing, rhythm, imagery and rhyme as well as free form always are flawless, your poems always telling a story; usually with a wonderful moral for an ending. I know you have a few poetry books available, which would make wonderful fireside reading or on the coffee table for guests to read. Oh! And then there are your children's poetry: what I've read would delight every child. So, keep doing what you do best: write!
Lots of luv & hugs, SisBon

You came up and stole this southern girl's heart right away from her with Captins of the army... How delightful I want to change it from boys to girls and present it to my very brave grand daughters.
-
Thanks for stopping by my cave for a visit and the very kind words for my poetry!
-
I read it. But, your much the better poet!
-
so you are from northern indiana? im glad there are others like myself out there! i live in hammond, and have lived here most of my life. it is a nice place, but southern indiana is so much nicer, i think. i love it around charlestown, near ky., where my aunt used to live.
did you grow up in nappanee? when you said that you were amish, i had to wonder. my late husband and i took the kids to amish acres a few times, and we all enjoyed it very much.
i look forward to hearing from you soon, fellow hoosier!

i came to check your page out and i see that you are Amish, forgive me my poem was a little "naughty" humour and i would not wish to cause any embaresment or offence and so i have removed it from your contest.. good luck with the contest i hope you get many entries

I came to your page trying to find a lead to the Still Life Contest post, but I have read the poems you have posted here. Maybe because I had lived in the northern Virginia/D.C. area for years, but I've written a few haiku-form cherry blossom poems myself, and yours is simply beautiful. I also noted that you mentioned being a gold member, so if you'd like to post this poem and decorate it, I have some really beautiful cherry blossom images, borders and backgrounds you might want to use for this poem. Just let me know, and I can send you links where you can see and click 'em up if you like.
I'll definitely be back to read more of your poetry, I am impressed. I better find that contest first though!

AHA... You are an adult with years of life experience under your belt and a family and everything I want 36 years from now. I see why I didn't get your poem.
I am 19 and naive, with a different sense of humor. I appreciate your wisdom though.

As for the 'trophy to poems' average, I am left to think that many of these 'contest holders' do not respect all aspects of your poetry! Both you and I know that your vocabulary, phrasings, and solid forms aren't common here on this site of over-run angstish teenagers (such as myself ). Do keep me informed? If you ever put together a collection of your poetry, I would buy it in a heartbeat.
-
I've read your whole new user page. I believe I can see you from a clearer and wider perspective now!
You're a wonderful person, Moses. It shines from your poetry, personality, and most of all, the One that lives in you. I've added you to my prayer requests this evening. We know that He can settle storms and move mountains; we also know that he can settle and move whatever stirs or hinders you at this time in your life.
I'd like to take the moment to say thank you. Your gift has been a blessing to me. If you were to turn your head from all poetry, I fear that most of my inspiration would run out... And the greater loss is such a friend.
Carry on, sir.
Love -
Claide
