good lord, and here I thought you were new at this
And you've been here two years before me, how's that for sticking the old foot in the mouth, eh?
    And you live in Cali.
    Nice place I think.
Been here all my life. But yeah, Im one of the 16 people left in this state who was actually born here. .
Well, except for the 16 years I spent in Texas, during my formidable years.
Good thing too, I was still wild wild wild, without the dangers of bigtown Cali.

I am honored you'd take the time to read my drivel, such as the case may be.
I look forward to reading more of yours as well.
    Much love always,
    Jin
  • not-alone-anymore : wow on December 2, 2008
You seem to be a very insightful person and I admire that. There aren't very many people like you in the world, which saddens me. Most people I talk to are so immature and I have nothing in common with them, but of course teens will be teens right? By the way, I'm only 17 but people say that I am beyond my years. I hope to hear from you. It would be nice to have an intelligent conversation with someone for once.
  • narcissist on October 23, 2008
If you skip this part, you really fucking suck.

LOL your page was incredibly entertaining... and insightful. It's really refreshing to hear such advice so plainly stated... makes it stick in cleaner and clearer. : ) But now that I'm here... I forget how I came across it... hm.
  • slit on October 8, 2008

Even though I have not talked to you in a while, I just wanted to make sure that I stopped by to say Happy Birthday.... Hope that it is a great day and that you get everything that you wanted for your birthday~

  • HomeGrown on March 22, 2005
Yeah, i've about had it. I've been blocked from commenting further (more proof of the hypocracy of liberalism) which is alright. Just out of curiousity, should I start a new poetry site soon, one with simple, common sense rules, one with true openess, would you be interested in joining? There will be a small group of those with monitoring duties, but only to conform to FCC guidelines. Read my comment on Administration by AP Mafia, you'll get the idea. No premium membership, no charge for a few small images, nobody putting rules on the english language. Think about it, spread it, let me know what you think.

    P.S.

    Thanks for the back-up!

    Hey HG

I just found that contest by Fergus and your comments to him. Right on Brother. he is the epitomy of the bankrupt and irrelevant sect known as "liberalism". But I must warn you - you can't win an argument with that type. They have no credibility, no ethics and no tolerance. But nice job anyway. I put my two cents worth in also, even entered the contest after being warned not too, but it will fall on deaf ears.

You have such a good point! Sorry, I just looked up those lyrics you were talking about, and wow. I wish my How To Be an Artist was half of what this is. I'm adding it to my page, credits included. Thanks for this, Crystal x, really.
  • Gosia on March 13, 2005
I can tell I'm going to like your poetry just by reading your author page. That poem up there reminded me a little of the song "Wear Sunscreen" or something, by Baz Luhrmann. Perhaps you've heard it? Hmmm interesting... ^_^ I hope that your operation goes well, although I don't know what bilateral CTS surgery is, take care and God Bless,
    Crystal x
  • HomeGrown on March 8, 2005
Why thank you very much. We being so very different, you and I, it would be easy to lose sight of gift we share here. I try so very hard to keep it in my mind that everyone here is just like me; a writer. If I encouraged you, than it's not me to be thanked, but you. You are the one encouraged and therefore the one who will do great things. That you may do even one of these things with the thought that I have assisted you in it, is a thought that is deeply humbling. Enjoy life, your God, you loved ones, and of course, your writing. May the Lord bless you AND your Muse.

    P.S.

Read Untempered Thoughts of Unknown Friends. It's mine, I think you'll like it.
  • sarahbethb17 on March 8, 2005
And so I decide, after reading your encouraging and happy comment on my site, that you are a genius sent here to make people happy. You definitely made my day. Thank you so much!
May God bless you mucho, and may flower petals fall everywhere you walk. Cause you rock.
    Sarah Beth

It's carpal tunnel surgery, both hands.. but you know, over the past few days I keep seeing folk what had the surgery, and they're worse off then before, so I'm thinkin, and now doble thinkin the whole damn thing. Glad you liked my page. Enjoy the reading. I'll try to get a go at yours while I'm around, as well. Oh, and, anytime!
  • Glassbong on March 3, 2005
damn dude, thanks for backin me, even though you probably weren't really backin me specifically...anyways, i like that whole giant-ass paragraph right before the "about me" on your page..the rolling stones reference, i liked it...anyways, i'm a bass guitarist myself. i can relate to the whole "writing on pretty much anything you can find" thing, cause i do the same fuckin thing...i dig the page, man, and your influences(BY GOD!)...i'm influenced by a lot of the same people, poe, anne rice, bob and tom...yeah, you get the point...anyways, i guess i'll read some of your poems now, since that was the whole point of coming to this page...yeah...oh, and what is "bilateral CTS surgery"? just wondering

  • HomeGrown on September 23, 2003
Well.. I have been insane actually. Unfortuantely, starting next week I will not be around a computer much, but I will try to spend as much time here as I can. Going to stay on a volcano with my mother fo a while. Nice to hear from you again, that's for sure! By the way, I loved B flat! Absolutely amazing!

  • Lurie on September 22, 2003
Soooo, did ya get her a new "pink" teddy bear?
  • HomeGrown on September 21, 2003
I feel that I must say this to you, Tina... No. You have not offended me in any way, nor have I been angered by you. I have always been a fan of yours, and you are one of the few that keep me here. I understand that you have spoken with yba, but you also need to know that there are always two sides to every story. I will not bore anyone with petty details, but I am going to marry my best friend, and she is not yba, but a much more gracious, loving, and kind angel. I would love to explain the things that have happened, but it's really complicated. All I can say (and no, this is not a shameless plug, really!) is stay tuned. More poems will come. They always do. More will come forth into the light, and will be better understood. I thank you, deeply for your concern, and look forward to hearing more from you. Thanks, and do try to have a great day!
  • Ava Noire on August 9, 2002

HomeGrown, Thank you very much for giving so much thought to my poem and to what I had to say when very few people were commenting on my poems (that has changed). And, most of all, thank you for letting me know that you're glad I decided to stay. So am I! :-)
  • HomeGrown on September 10, 2001

Doors are scary cause you don’t know what’s behind them. Especially when there’s a freaky light coming from underneath Then it’s really scary cause you know there’s something behind there but you don’t know what it is. It’s even worse when a freaky demon head thing pushes into the wood like it was skin. Then you know there’s something really horrible behind the door, and you don’t know what it is, and it probably wants to kill you. And it’s got to be supernatural cause you can’t just bend into doors like that. And you know it’s gonna kill you in some freaky, horrible, supernatural way, and that’s no good. Especially when it has a deep rumbling voice and knows your name and says it’s gonna kill you. That’s bad. So just do what I do and don’t have any doors in the house. Or better yet don’t have any walls cause they’re even scarier, I won’t even bother getting into walls, damn. No ceilings either, they’re just walls but on the ceiling, that’s just a fact. No floors, that’s right, who needs em. They just scare the shit out of me. Just do what I do and live in outerspace. How someone supposed to sleep at night with walls and floors and ceilings in the house, damn, lordy lord. I’m just trying to keep you safe HomeGrown, can’t be too safe. Watch out for those doors and ceilings, they’re just bad news.

I appreciate your feedback homey, I hope I can call you homey. Basically I'm trying to expand my poetry writing for ideas for a new screenplay of mine. Yes and I also write and play my own music. Actually I tend to get the extreme in comments, either people REALLY like my stuff, or they hate it with a passion. Odd to get one in the middle. What do you think I should work on that isn't quite cutting it for you personal? Go ahead and be brutal, I need to know what sucks and smells. Glad you like my poem "to be casual" Its one of my fav. You got the picture just right too.
  • on August 29, 2001
thank you so much for reading (enjoying) and commenting so nicely on my poem. and yes, i do have more!!!!!
  • CafeAuLait9185 on August 24, 2001
I'm so glad that you read that poem for me. :-) Looking forward to hearing your song as well! I've also joined your group. I love your poems and am trying to read as many as I can. Wonderful writing.
