Hardy Parkerson on October 14, 2006Hello!
s/Hardy P. -
Hi Hardy, your bro-in-law, R.M. pointed me your way. I didn't know you were pinning and penning words together into neat rhymes. Way to go and I enjoyed reading your thoughts.
Here's one for you. A real friend is one with whom you can discuss religon and politics and still remain friends. Now that's a true test. hehe.
Have a good week and keep up the good work.

Hardy Parkerson on January 18, 2006Dear Beautiful One,
Thanks for the words of encouragement! I've posted the poem you encouraged me to post. Please take a look at it. It's got a good point, even it is not such a great poem. Of all the poems the great poets write,/Only the best ones do we read at night./The rest are discarded, thrown on the heap./We read only the best ones 'fore we go to sleep. Again, thanks for sending me a message. I was afraid I might have been a little too personal before and may have scared you a litte. I'm harmless! And far away! Keep up the good work! Hope you are in good health and happy! Thanks to God, I am. I'm having the time of my life./Bringin' home the money to my wife./She says, "I love you, honey,/When you bring home the money."/But when I don't bring home the money,/She don't think it's funny! And I'm sixty years old and in great condition./All I've been thorough before had just been my tuition/For the lessons I've learned./Now I'm ready to go./I'm on a mission!
Sincerely,
Hardy Parkerson, Atty.

BonnieQ on January 17, 2006Okay, Hardy! Why haven't we seen something new written by you since October of last year? That is way too long to let your quill lay and gather dust. So, quick! Dust it off, dip it into the trusty ink well, and get to writing, my friend! By the way, thank you for the note you left sometime back on my author page.
Let us hear from you soon!
Love and hugs, B♥nnieQ

Hardy Parkerson on April 24, 2005Dear SmoochieGirl,
Again, thanks! You are so nice, and sooo pretty! I love a pretty girl, always have, always will. Your note says "pounces on to your page," and, although I do not really know what that means, I suppose you looked at my biography and/or at my poems. Nobody ever said I was a good poet, but I really enjoy writing poems. It's my way of externalizing my feelings, among other things. Thanks for even taking the time to write me even a short note. Keep up your good work!
Sincerely,
Hardy Parkerson, Atty.

thelordreigns on April 9, 2005It's nice to meet you Harry. Thanks for your comments on my author page. Yeah...I'm a high school English teacher - at least that what they tell me I do. I teach writing to at-risk teenagers in an alternative school. And yes, my faith is really important to me - my relationship with Christ is paramount in my life. I used to read a lot but these days, I can't seem to find the time although I am getting addicted to this website - as a result I am reading a whole lot. I will read your poetry. Thanks again!

Bet my car is older than yours, Hardy.
Mine is a 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix, with slightly less than 102,000 orginal miles on it.
Now, your attitude... Hmmm? Well, I'm going to reserve judgment on that one.
Until later, much later.
I suppose some might say I have an attitude: one of always speaking truth with no hidden agendas. My mother once said of me that she never had to wonder what I was thinking, because I said it. Still do.
Some things never change, except that these days I'm a much more humbled, pitiful Eve who got Adam kicked out of Eden.
Now, I'm going to read a poem or two of yours.
Love and hugs

Forms of Me on March 12, 2005As I was browsing names upon the side of the page..I just could not seem to leave yours alone. I now have read your page...and I find myself smiling..at your "attitude". I respect your maturity....because with that maturity comes such beautiful and wonderful wisdom.
I can not wait to read some of your work.

Zahhar on March 12, 2005well, i just read your thoughts above, and i have to say that i like your attitude. unlike you, i've gone the other direction entirely, holding in complete disdain the whole money-making rat-race scheme of america. and, yes, there are people i must deal with who judge me harshly because i don't care to hold a job and make an income.
you asked why i'm unemployed, well that's part of it. if you want a slightly larger picture, you can read my article "Poetry is my first true love" which i have posted here in my Essays list. i'm only unemployed, i suppose, so long as i can get away with it, but like you, even if i were filthy rich, i'd still be driving a little economy car, and i would continue dressing like someone who's homeless. appearances have never meant anything to me and never will.
i don't have any books published. the energy it takes to get published in this society is reserved for the type of people that can sell refrigerators to eskimos, and when you pull a book of poetry off the shelf in a bookstore these days, you're pretty much looking at moldy old refrigerators, too.
so, our attitudes are similar i think, but i've made my life focus one of study, self-education, practice, and personal development as a poet, for better or worse. -
AudioxRevolution on March 3, 2005teehee.
yeah america is about money. it used to be about pride, where did it go? i dunno. i wanna be famous, but iwill still prefer a burger king burger over cavier. i dont know what that had anything to do with what i was talkin bout but... caviers expensive... a burgers not. uhhhh...
. bye!
