It is a lovely background and I would love to go there.
However the multi colours interfere with the reading of the fonts which is not very helpful to those of us with even a small eye defect.
-

Gotta say I agree with you! A person who is a little nutty sure makes some good poetry...mainly because they see things in a different way! I'm proud to be a nut, haha.
-
You are most kind....thanks for stopping by my page.....thank you for your encouraging words....blessings to you and yours,

Well slap the taste plum outa my mouth!!!
I spose I'm a tad slow about readin' folk's home pages but I wanna thank ya for the kind words ya done flung on me here. See there, now I gotta live up to 'em.
I dearly love the south and wish I could move a little closer. Grew up in a part of my state they still call Little Dixie. You could wind up dead in a heartbeat but at least ya knew where ya stood with folks. They'd damn sure tell ya. A simpler, slower way of life.

I am sorry it has taken me this long to read your homepage. I am apologizing to you and after reading it, I am apologizing to myself also...
I felt like I just had a very revealing conversation with you. I live in South Carolina. Your way of talkin' is easy for me to understand! In fact I find downright endearing. I haven't made a lot of friends on this site. A lot of young folk on here. The experiences of their current life being something that I can only relate to in retrospect. My 20 yr. High School reunion is this summer and boy are they gonna shit when they see how well I held up!! lol...
I hope you and are able to get to know each other better through our poetry and messages. Do you think you will ever move back to New Orleans?
Peace & Light,
Kendal

Never spent time in New Oleans but my big brother did. Like that really matters! But I did live in Florida for some time and all of my husband's family are southern! Nothin like that life honey! Collard greens and sweet potatoes, sweet tea and corn bread, and some good shine! OMG! Love the blues and how everyone can relate to it in some way. No pretensions just sweet lovin!
Just stopped by to tell you I like a lot of your stuff even if I can't relate to that particular location. You are one of my new favorites! Later gator!

Gypsy,
You have been nominated by a friend to be Hoodwinked by our group The Poetic Bandits.
Our group promotes good poetry, encourages writers of all ages and we lift the spirits of fellow poets here at ALLPOETRY who are experiencing illness, depression and even the loss of loved ones. May you continue to write your thoughtful poetry and be a blessing to others here at ALLPOETRY.

well I was reading a poem of yours and found myself speechless so I thought lets check out the authors page what I found here is inspiring. I found myself nodding but also thinking ... this is the kind of person that makes this world a beautiful place. I am a firm believer in letting someone know when they have touched you, you did. Thank you for sharing yourself with the world.
-
Thank you for commenting on so many of my poems I'm glad you thought they were worth your time.

Hello i just wished to comment on your page. I liked learning about you. You are very intriuging to me. I enjoy doing much of the same things you enjoy but, i do much more since i'm 15 and all
Iunderstand trust issues.... i gots my own set of them and i hold grudges for things that have happened in my life... i guess you could say i'm much more mature for my age. Continue writing and doing what you love.

Born and raised there also. Wife and I left for a bit(well 15 years) went west to California and the city by the bay. It is a sshame what the storm did the city. It will take years to recover. We are now living in Alabama; close enough to go back once in awhile. If you ever wish to see beauty go to San Francisco. I really left my heart there. So keep cool and enjoy life. Papagallo

My pleasure to sign your guest book Gypsy Via Orleans ...Lived real close to you.

I'm at work right now so I can't dive into your poems yet but I did read your author page and absolutely LOVE your straight-forwardness and sense of humor. You sound like an absolute hoot. I'm sure I'm going to have a lot of fun getting to know you, and learn a few things.
Have a great weekend!

JESUS. I thought I was prone to rambling at times... You are so full of energy and opinions...I haven't even read any of your poems yet but I felt I had to write something.
I'm also a quite a loner and wary of letting people in. This is all new to me and to be honest i'm on a bit of a high! Thankyou for your kind comments!!!
-
Just wanted to say, after reading your bio, you sound pretty amazing! Pretty kickass 50 year old i'd say.
