and we are consumed by fire

random drop, I have used your quote as a springboard - great to see it

Thanks for your comments. Yes I know the meaning - did Latin at school decades ago. It was used as a film title by Guy Debord.

"in girum imus nocte et consumimur igni" wonderful palindrome to choose for a motto. You know the meaning, yes? You also have an interesting bio. I also like your poetry. You are a strong writer. I think I like the one named Ghostless alot. Well done, will comment on that page as well.

    Darling

I notice you are very often one of the first to read but you rarely comment and this is what I think about that. You are sweet, keep reading and know anything you say is like special to me and I never, ever try to overlook even one comment. I used to but that was before I grew as a poet. Smoosh before I whoosh.

thank you for the comment. i never really use archaic language in any of my other poems but somehow when i wrote this it simply fell into place.

you probably would hate it there. almost everyone does, so I'm surprised that anyone still lives there.

a band! Yes, I'm seriously considering starting one here, my add would read something like: Looking for 50'ish musicians who can sing harmony and play all rock instruments (so we can rotate just for fun) to do covers on all Beatle songs (which I do kicking versions of on the keyboard), Simon and Garfunkel hits (ditto), and other select 60's rock pieces, directed at the dying 60's generation... looking for musicians for whom Pink Floyd-style music comes naturally, and who can do passing jazz, and who are looking to eventually collapse and die on stage. High personnel turnover rate likely. Proposed name of group: Quadruple Bypass... or maybe Old, Wrinkley Guys... or Cardiac Arrest... or the Last Hurrah... Well, thanks for allowing me to work all that out! lol

"farie" was the intended usage, yes, as an older english form. i didnt hit you with the irish though, "faerie", as that would be a bit to unrecognizeable. thanks for the catch though.

Well, a 5:1 ratio with your fans makes you alot better than half the local bands here.
    Bright side to everything,

Gregor, how did you ever cope with being transformed into a gigantic insect? Are you still locked in the attic?

Hi. Welcome to AllPoetry. Well, it looks like you have figured out how to do backgrounds and, as well, you can choose backgrounds for your poems as you probably know. I live in Dallas, Texas, and when I see new poets arrive...I explain how they can edit poems and author page to add a background. Then you just choose text colors and volla'. Godspeed and best wishes 24/7
